So last night the topic of hunting came up which I am 100% against! FH was saying that he will be going hunting and bring home what he shoots and I flipped! I told him knowing how I feel about it he better not bring a poor dead animal to our home.. I would be sooo upset and would def VOMIT! Then he proceeds to tell me he wants to put a head (yes an animal head) in our house or in his 'man room'. I was like whattt??? I dont want that in my house! GROSS!!!!!

I am so with you on this one. I do not like hunting at all, and I def. would not want a 'trophy' of a dead animal where I live.

Now I am down to like NOOO BRIDAL PARTY!!!!

Im sorry this happened.. Same thing happened with me. Not only did I lose friends but some family members were uninvited and will never see me again.

You really learn a lot about your 'friends' during this time. Just keep focusing on you and your FH and dont let the selfish people stand in the way of what you want

It pisses me off that there is a limit of people I can take to Kleinfeld's for my first dress shopping experience (Saturday)!

I actually understand, but it sucks.....I know I hurt feelings even though everyone was more than super nice about it....I hate dissapointing people

My FH is a big hunter, and we have a deer head in our living room. I know that lots of people hate it and are against it, and I was too before I met him. Once we actually started dating and he explained to me about it, and he eats the meat, I am not against it anymore.
I wont go into the reasons why hunting is not bad, because I don't want to be flamed or start a war about bambi.
There are quite a few girls on here whose FH's are hunters...
I think its perfectly ok, if you are hunting legally and the way it should be. Not trophy hunting, or jacking deer like some people do.
What did cavemen do before we all became civilized? They had to hunt to survive. Granted, times are different but like I said, if you do it the right way, It's ok with me.
Actually FH is making deer steaks as we speak.

yeah theres a reason theres a hunting season. to thin out the herds. Its just sad and hard to rationalize for some of us even if it is necessary.

but i cant even understand why someone wants to go out and shoot a penned animal. like w t f is that? or a protected one...or hell, an animal you have no need to shoot like wolves etc.

I'm not flaming ya. i'm just a sucker for those Bambi eyes.

that happened to me too! i invited my whole bridal party (5), my mom, and my two aunts and then get an email from kleinfeld's confirming my appointment the DAY BEFORE saying that there can only be 5 of us total, including the bride.. fortunately, 3 of the bridesmaids and one of my aunts couldn't make it so i didn't have to un-invite anyone, but i would have felt terrible. you'll actually be happy that there's only a few people though when you're trying on the dresses.. my mom and aunt were set on having me try on every dress in the store, and styles i knew would look terrible on me lol, if there were more people i probably would've been encouraged to try on even more. you'll have to let us know how it goes!

Thanks! I def will I actually am bringing 1 extra person....I am going to play dumb when they tell me that the 5 includes the bride.....I had to have the 3 BM's that are coming there! Plus I have 2 MOH and my mom and FMIL.....hope it's not an issue.

I gotcha. I'm totally into the ski lodge feel for my house...LOL I'm kidding. I don't love it, but it's FH's first buck. He always jokes around that when the deer head is off the wall, then I will know hes gone for good.

Feel the same! Thank god FH does not hunt nor does he want to. My close friend's husband likes to hunt and try not to let it bother me..but it does!

i'm sure you'll be fine what are they going to do, make someone stand outside and wait? haha, the receptionist was pretty nice when i went

i hate my fsil.
