Good topic. I participate when I have something to say sometimes, but rarely to fuel the fire.
most of the time when it is 'DRAMA' i personally don't see it as drama and then people will come in and start saying 'oh enough with the drama' its like, people are just voicing their opinions, theres nothing wrong with having debates about things. Yes there are times when there is actual drama. Obviously some people think i am rude but honestly i try my best not to be, if i see someone being rude i will say to them that i feel they are rude and honestly i would prefer it if people did that to me, say it to me when i make a comment if you feel its wrong, its fine lol. If there is a topic like the religion one we had not too long ago i love participating in things like that, there is nothing wrong with some intellectual conversation once in a while, yes things get heated but you might also learn something and who said its a bad thing to express your views on how you feel about certain things. If theres a topic and its something i want to say something about then i do, if it doesn't interest me then i simply won't. I don't do it to start drama regardless of what SOME might think
i really dont mind drama i think it makes things interesting. I never take offense because really everyone has their own opinions and i dont really know anyone here.. its different than a family memeber or friend getting in your face.

even if someone has the complete opposite view as i do, and they sit there and will debate with me going back and forth about it, i dont get mad about having different views. Infact, i can sit back and say you know what this person really sticks by their views and can respect that in a person even when we disagree.

Denise, you should know that there are a lot of people in this world who cannot tolarate an opposing opinion to their own.

tell me about it!!! i have been there........and i hate when they cant tolerate it and keep pushing their veiw on that person. or do't understand why you feel the way you do...you dont HAVE TO UNDERSTAND just deal with it

everyone is entitled to voice their oppinons....as we all should freely ..though it drives me crazy when people voice an oppinion on something they know nothing about ...and are insulting in what they say !
A bunch of us participated in a very civil debate last week on a topic and we enjoyed it, so we thought why not continue to DEBATE (aka not argue) on other topics. Some people can handle that, some people clearly cannot. Participate or dont. Read or dont. Agree with someone's opinion or dont. Who really cares in the grand scheme of things?
some people do care and thats what people should be careful of....some things no matter how small they might seem to 1 person may be a big deal to someone else. there are so many different kinds of people on these boards, that someone may be offended by something. Its a good thing we have so many different types of people...but we should all take that into consideration when posting about certain things. JMO

I can't change who I am and I won't censor my opinion. People will be offended for every little thing. Maybe I hate birds and theres a bird lover on here who will be upset that I said it. Like Denise mentioned the other day, I will not apologize for who I am and I wont put forth a fake opinion in an attempt to avoid 'offending' someoen who I probably barely know anyhow.
