To those of you who have looked at dresses or put $ down already...how long did the stores say it would take to come in?? My veil and dress were ordered 7.5 months ago and i haven't heard anything yet. I'm not in a rush for either...but just want to know if it's supposed to take this long. I'd like to get the veil soon so I can start looking at headpieces.

Good question...I was wondering the same thing also. Im praying that 11 months is enough time to strat looking and purchasing my gown

I ordered mine about 9 months ago & nothing..which as we know, 'there's no rush' but I'm like what the heck?? see..& these people think we're crazy for ordering so far in advance look how long it takes sometimes!..(I am sure we're not priority though & that's why it's taking so long) I called about a month ago & they said it was still on order..

My wedding is much later than yours, but I know they are holding my order for a few months because they didn't want the dress to have to sit in the store for so long.

Yeah, sometimes stores delay the order so that the dress comes in only a few months before the wedding...but not all stores do this.

I have heard too many horror stories about dresses not comin in on time or just a couple days b4 the wedding. My sister ordered her wedding dress about a year in advance and it didnt come in till 1 week b4 her wedding. If you already told them ur real wedding date I would think about calling them and telling them u moved it to a month earlier just in case!!

I just put my money down on Saturday but I told them that I didn't want to order my dress with the measurements taken at that moment because I am in the process of losing weight and I don't wanna alter it so much that it may not look the same as when I tried it on! (I just wanted to make sure that if the dress was discontinued, etc, that I would definitely be able to get it.) So I am going back in June to get my 'real' measurements and then they will actually put my order in. So I am not exactly sure how long it will take to get it but I am guessing since I am going back in June ( I was told to come by July 1st at the latest) and I have a July 3rd wedding it will be in for my first fitting within 10 months? I hope I am right about that or else that will make me really nervous!!!
