Dress Disaster wedding in 2 days

My wedding is Saturday. So I go to pick up my wedding dress today and it has a line going across it. I tried it on two days ago and it was perfect. The people at the dress place say they may be able to steam it out from the back. Well....i came back a little bit later and now my dress is ruined. There are steam marks going all the way up and down the dress. I am not exaggerating. My MOH was with me too and agreed it was not able to be salvaged.

The dress place ordered a panel of fabric from the designer to be overnighted and they are going to attempt to replace it tomorrow....but who knows if it is going to match or not. So I am two days before my wedding heartbroken and without a dress. I bought the dress over a year ago and went to a very high end dress shop. I have been planning this wedding for over two years and so far this week my hair was dyed blonde by accident, my florist quit, my diamond sidestone cracked, and I needed an emergency dental appointment.

I have no plan B for tomorrow....please cross your fingers for me.

I did not just write this to vent though.....as a lesson to all...pick your dress up EARLY even if they try to convince you otherwise. Lie about your wedding date if needed.

OMG MARIA!!!! I am sooooo sorry! I cant believe this is all happening to you! Please call me if you need anything or if there is anything i can do to help! I hope this all works out for you. Try not to stress your wedding day is going to be perfect no matter what!!!!!

what is wrong with people, but i am SOOOOOOO sorry this is all happening to you right now praying that they'll be able to fix the dress in time

You planned this wedding for 2 years and no matter what though it will be the most amazing day of your life and worth all the craziness. Trust me, one day you will be able to look back on this and laugh about it, i know that doesn't help now but in the end you will marry the man of your dreams the one you want to spend the rest of your life with and i am sure it will still be an amazing wedding.

Maybe in the meantime find out ways to cover up steam marks there has to be something that can be done

OMG!! Everything will work itself out. Just try to relax ( I know that is difficult under the circumstances). I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

awww thats so nice of you...but yeah alot of girls on here are selling dresses, maybe there should be a thread for 'IN CASE YOU NEED A DRESS, WHO CAN HELP'

This sounds so bad but I'm going to say it anyway - just look at all the bullshiit and crap that 'BillandMe' went through to get to her glorious day and everything turned out amazing for her!!

GREAT POINT!!! everytime something else happened to her i was like OH NO leave this poor girl alone, and yes her wedding came out AMAZING and she looked so happy...it also probably made her realize even more what a wedding is truly about, sometimes we get caught up with everything else

I am so sorry about your dress. But, in the end, it will all work out and you will have a beautiful day!

If they are replacing the fabric, it will be like new. They will work their butts of to make it happen! No dress shop wants to be the one to mess up the brides dress.

Thanks for the advise on picking up the dress early.
