As many of you know I bought my dress at Bridal Reflections last week . Ive been having some doubts about my dress lately. I looked back at pictures of me in it and I really think the dress looks weird on me. I don't know if it is because the dress is way too long on me and in the pictures I am not standing on the pedestal so it looks kind of bunched in the waist area and it is not falling the way I like or the way it looks on the model. I also didn't have any crinolin (sp) on so I dont know if that had anything to do with it because to me the dress looks flat in the front.
Im not really sure if any of you have had this happened but I am wondering if any of you switched dresses or just had doubts about the dress you bought after you got it and what you did about it.
ETA I added some pictures. THe first two I think it looks weird, To me it looks bunchy, I dont know. The third I was on the pedestal. Do you think it will look 'fuller' when its not dragging on the floor. Id like it to look like it does on the model in the last picture. PLease please be honest, because I dont think they ordered the dress yet and I might be able to switch.

Kristen I think your dress is soo beautiful!! and its just big! it will look soo different once you see it in your size. Can you imagine how i felt? i am tiny and all the dresses I tried on were HUGE you could fit 2 Glorias lol. Its gorgeous but ultimately it will be your decision I think you should go back and try it on one more time. Also tell the lady that has been helping you to make the dress look as fitted to your body as possible so you can have a better idea. This is what happened to me at Macy's the dress was huge but the lady was able to fold it somehow from the bodice so that i could see the length and everything!!! good luck!

Your dress is gorgeous and you look beautiful in it. Don't worry about what the dress looks like now because it's not your actual size. Also, are you wearing a slip under the dress. If so, that will make it fuller and you will get the look you want.

I just looked at your pics and it's DEFINITELY too big! I had the same problem with my Eve dress. I'm only 4'11', so even when I did stand on the pedestal, it was still too long! You also definitely need a crinoline under it because Eve gowns are ballgowns, so it's not laying properly without the crinoline.
I think it's gorgeous though!
Thanks, Did you find it was bunching up like that and laying all funny? To me, it looks nothing like the picture. Did yours?
Yup, look at my pics in my album then look at the last pic which is the stock pic. You'll see that because it's SOOOOOO long (for a bride about 5'7' which I'm clearly not), it does't lay properly at all.

You're stunning in the dress now, and it isn't fitted to you yet. I'm sorry you have these doubts...have any other dresses in mind? I personally think the finished product is going to be amazing.

You look great! I think it will look much better when it's actually fitted. But if you are having doubts, maybe go back and try on some more dresses.

I think the dress is beautiful and it looks beautiful on you! It's a sample so it's a little big, that's all.

I honestly thing you look GORGEOUS in that dress!!!! The way your face is all lit up in the second picture, I can tell that's the dress for you.
I really love it, but if you are not sure then you should go back and try on some other dresses. I wasn't sure about my veil so I went and tried on like 20 different ones and found something I felt better about...I'm glad I did it. If you're really still doubting it, maybe go try it and some others on again and make your decision then

you look stunning in that dress, it just does not fit you properly because it is the sample, I was not extremely happy looking at pictures of myself in my dress because it was to small for my boobs so it pushed them to the sky but I just remembered that that was not my gown adn when my gown comes in it will fit me perfectly

you look beautiful!! i think once you have heels, its altered to fit you it will be great.
if you are really having doubts...go back ASAP and try it on...put in the crinoline NOW...and see if you feel that 'thats the one' feeling all over again

Yes! That was another problem, I was walking around with no shoes on, the shoes they gave me were beyond uncomfortable so I took them off after 2 minutes. I am 5'7' so that dress must be made for someone much much taller! Weird I know. I made an appointment to go back next week to try it on with the crinoline slip underneath. I am also calling today to see if it has been ordered yet.

The dress is gorgeous and looks great on you!! I just think it looks weird bc it is too big for you and there was no crinoline underneath it...Once you get a nice full slip underneath to help it get the look in the advertisement photo, and its in your size it will look fine. When you go to try it on make sure you try to remember to bring your shoes with you so you can see how it will look.

This is my dress, and i had to tell you the dress looks completely different with crinoline. it really makes all the difference. I think you look beautiful in it, but try it with crinoline and then decide.

I think it looks great on you. Yes it looks better when you are on the pedestal bc it isn't bunching. The model is probably wearing a slip too to make it a little fuller. You can get a fuller slip to add to the ball gown.
I think it is beautiful though and you should go with your first intinct

Re: Dress Doubts - Please help!
It is a beautiful dress! And the sample sizes will always not fit right. I had doubts after I ordered my dress too - so you are not alone. I ordered my dress back in March - and was having doubts up til this weekend because I tried it on again in front of 2 of my BMs and once I did that - the doubts were washed away....and I couldn't be happier with the dress I ordered. I got 'the feeling' again when I tried it on, so I know it is the right one for me! Trust your gut instincts...and, try it on again just to be sure.

Re: Dress Doubts - Please help!
I was SWIMMING in my sample...and even clipped it was kinda big (I made my FSIL try on so I could see how back tied). Even MY size I ordered- it needs to be taken in at hips a lot (I am very narrow). I kept that in mind though. I think your dress looks great!
