Dress shopping Q
What do I need with me when I start shopping for a dress? Do I need the shoes and undergarments and all that jazz, or do I just need that stuff before the first fitting?TIA

Re: Dress shopping Q
I recommend wearing or bringing a strapless bra and wearing full underwear because most of the saleswomen come in with you.

I would also bring some sort of clip for your hair so you can see what it would look like with your hair up.

lol. Learned that one the hard way! The stupid woman at my bridal shoppe kept coming in and not even being tactful about opening and closing the curtain. Last time I was there for 2nd fitting, I had to yell at her for not caring if the store saw me half naked! She was also pretty rough, making comments that one of my breasts was slightly bigger than the other pushing my breast into the dress and then stating that it was not the 'dress' fault' the larger breast was popping out a little and that was the way my body was. lol
BTW prior to my fitting she had a plus sized bride and was making rude comments about her also. I hate my dress saleslady.

shoes are not necessary until your 1st fitting
undergarments....can help you some, but usually they will provide something for you to try on with the dress....you can figure out which ones work best, make the dress look better/worse/the same on you, etc..but you neednot posess the exact ones until 1st fitting
the most important thing to take with you is:
an open mind. the style/fabric you think you hate could end up being the one you LOVE on yourself.
good luck
