FH and I are trying to figure out our menu, and we are having a hard time... we both loved the duck, and were thinking of doing the filet, duck, and sea bass, but we're afraid that not enough people like duck and that we should have a chicken instead.
What do you girls think?

Duck is def different and a nice change from the usual chicken, fish, meat options. But I personally do not eat duck.

We actually did the filet, sea bass and duck and people LOVED it...I think its so nice to get away from the usual steak/chicken/salmon.

I don't think many people will order duck... Chicken is safer.

Re: Duck or chicken?
We did filet, sea bass and chicken... FH and I would both eat duck but I'm not sure if the majority of people would... you know your audience best, do you think people would eat the duck? Then go for it!!!

Re: Duck or chicken?
Good Question! If I was a guest, I'd pick duck of those two. But I'm thinking I can eat whatever I want, and food is to please the guests. Probably most people would choose chicken of the two.

Re: Duck or chicken?
We're doing Prime Rib, Chicken Florentine and Blackened Mahi Mahi. Our reception hall doesn't offer duck for the main course but we chose a Mango Duck Tarlet for a passed Hor D'oeuvres to give people a little duck option.

FH and I would both eat duck if that helps. I think its nice that its a little different, but if you dont think your guests would eat it then thats a problem...

Re: Duck or chicken?
As a picky eater, I suggest keeping it safe and going for chicken.

Would def do the duck. I think it would stand out from the usual dinner menu.

Re: Duck or chicken?
I like the idea of duck. We thought about it. But we're getting chicken that has a filling made with turkey and duck.

Re: Duck or chicken?
We are doing filet/duck/mahi mahi. We chose duck (and mahi manhi - not salmon) because it's a different option, not the same old usual dinners. Also, I love love love duck and will 99% of the time not order chicken - and I wanted this wedding to represent us and what we like, not what other people like. If they don't like duck, then order the filet - because that is a 'safe' option. And if you don't like anything then order from the kids menu or the vegetarian option!
