i got them because they are included in my package and it gives you an opportunity to warm up and get to know your photographer..i used them for my stds

I haven't gotten them done yet but it's included in the package so why not???? I think it will also be nice to work with your photographer before the wedding

I had a friend/co-worker do them this summer... i did a painting for her in exchange so we pretty much swapped services. she alsosurprised us with a gorgeous printed album (kodakgallery i think?) that looks amazingly professional, as well as all of the high resolution digital images so we can print them and do whatever we want with them. (she's an amateur photographer with professional equipment)
It's nice to have them, but i wouldnt say they are necessary.

Ours was part of the photography package. We would have probably skipped them, had they not been. After the shoot, they give you some for free with the option to have them all for a small fee.

I'm only doing it because FH and I take pics but not professional ones. It's nice to have some of those just dresses casual. I didnt have to include it in my package but I thought it was a nice extra.
