Re: E-ring Appraisal/Insurance

We added it as a rider to my parents homeowners insurance. It is a certain amt of money for every thousand the ring appraises for. We just got homeowners insurance and for my e-ring & wedding band it was $303 for a 19,000 policy.

Re: E-ring Appraisal/Insurance

I had mine insured by an insurance company that just insures jewelery. The appraiser thought this was the best way to go. (We own a house and it is not covered specifically on our home owners insurance).

FM if you want more info....

Re: E-ring Appraisal/Insurance

I got a policey thru Chubb- it's 2% of the appraised value

there are 2 schools of thought on wheather to appriase it for what you paid or what its apprasied for

however- the price of Diamonds go up- and if you lose your ring in 5 years- you might not be able to replace it for what you paid today

Re: E-ring Appraisal/Insurance

I bought a personal item policy from State Farm. Very inexpensive for FULL coverage with no deductible on my e-ring.
