Embarrassing but serious question...

Embarrassing but serious question...

OK, some of you know Angelo and I waited until marriage. It's been a week since we're married, and it's still really painful. Does it take this long? How long does it normally take to ease up? Also, is it true that men need a few days to re-fuel? He's so cute, cause if I need to, he'll take care of me, but he needs a few days to recuperate. haha He's had past experience, and I wasn't so innocent with an ex, so I'm not totally innocent when it comes to this, but as far as all the way, I'm a newbie, and he waited until marriage for me. We've enjoyed other things in the meantime...but shoot, it's painful! Now that I'm completely embarrased, help ease my mind!!

OMG how totally cute are you??? First off congratulations newlywed!!! Secondly, um, yeah, the painful stuff DEFINITELY goes away so do not worry!!!! totally normal!!!!! you may need to take a little break for a day or two, some of the pain may just be 'friction' related and will go away with a little rest!!
As for Angelo, he may just be exhausted from all the excitement over the past few weeks!! He'll be just fine
Just take it easy for a few days, and both of you will hit your stride!!!!
I'm sure lots of the other ladies will chime in with great advice too!!! Dont be embarrassed, what a WONDERFUL gift that must have been for DH, (and for you too!). Congratulations again!!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

First of all please dont be embarrased by any means, I give you a lot of credit for waiting. I actually wish I did until marriage but oh well. As far as the pain thing goes that should go away after a few times. I remember about my first time, I was in sooooo much pain taht I couldnt even enjoy it. Now i do after years of it LOL!!! As far as men needing to refuel that is true. My FH needs at least 5 hrs in between sometimes a day. I hope this helps, and have fun!!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

congratulations!!! that must have been so extremely special since you waited! and how patient is your DH??? that is just so awesome! the pain will definitely go away, and since he waited for you he probably needs to adjust a little too. good luck with everything, and don't feel embarassed! enjoy getting used to it!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

if either of you continue to have pain or bleeding after doing the deed fairly frequently, you might want to take time off to heal..... a week of rest and things should radically improve....

if friction and dryness continue to be a problem, buy some lube.... if you're uncomfortable getting it in a shop, you can always get it from drugstore.com.... flavors also add to variety

and yeah, guys need to recharge.... sometimes hours, sometimes a day....

Awwwwwwwwwwwww you girls are AWESOME!!!! I really didn't expect these replies so it totally makes me feel better! You're all so incredibly kind and sweet!!! Unfortunately I got my period yesterday, SOOO whether we wanted to wait a few days or not, we have to! As for other questions...I don't have a problem with dryness however, we bought a few things anyway(he was a little embarrassed, but went with me anyway)...lots of fun stuff for other enjoyments. I totally agree that I had to wait a few days to try again cause it was definitely sore even after waiting. I can relate to one of you who said it was extremely painful for a while...I'm hoping that eases real soon. We're going to try and go away this weekend since we may not be able to take a honeymoon at all, and then the next weekend we have a couples retreat at our church...needless to say I'd like to enjoy those two weekends. Seriously, thanks so much. I really appreciate you all replying! It really helped me a lot!! God bless you girls! You're awesome!!!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

It will hurt for a bit due to friction and stretching of the muscles in the area. And yes guys need a few hours to a day to recharge. DH was killing me when I asked for it more than once a day! Having trying all the new stuff!!!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

Awww congrats on waiting til marriage -- that must have been amazing for you both. Dont be embarrassed at all. DH and I are not beginners by any means and I still have questions sometimes!

As far as the soreness -- you'll get it for the first few times. Make sure you're relaxed during the act -- the more tense your muscles are, the more soreness you'll experience afterwards. Also, try to wait a day or two in between for the first few times that way your muscles have some time to recoupe.
As far as your husband....every guy is different. Some guys dont need anything more than 15 minutes to charge up again, and others need a full day.

Good luck and congrats

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

First of all, please don't be embarrassed, because you showed a lot of restraint in giving your DH the most special gift you could. I give you props for that!!!!

What you are feeling is completely normal, and trust me, in no time, it will feel awesome! I don't mean to be gross, but you need some 'practice' for your body to get used to it and for your muscles to stretch...you feel tired because who doesn't after that?

As for any dryness, any lube works well...there are those that tingle or ones that are longer lasting...having foreplay might also resolve that! HTH!

Congrats again and enjoy your new married life!!!!

Awww your so cute! Don't be embarressed!

If I remember correctly I remember it hurt for a while and did not really enjoy it from the beginning bc of it, it took some time, breaking in and some gettign used to. As for refueling I think all guys are different.

Like other girls have mentioned, lube up!!! Astroglide is great! It will definitely make things easier and more comfortable. You'll get used to it!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

congrats!

for me - it still can be a little uncomfortable - and i was not a virgin when i met FH and we've been together for 4 years, so i've done it alot i think its because i am just a tiny girl (5 ft tall, 90 lbs) and FH is a big guy - i wouldnt say its painful but sometimes for him to get it in can hurt the both of us but once we start it goes away being very relaxed helps and for me certain positions are much more comfortable and enjoyable......

good luck!!!!!

Re: Embarrassing but serious question...

OMG how freaking adorable are you! That is so wonderful that you waited!! AWESOME!! DH and I waited for each other too!!
Anyway, I had a similar experience, it was fine at first, but then all of the sudden it started really hurting, no matter which way I positioned myself it would still hurt a bit. I was getting worried too and it almost felt like he was hitting a big bruise inside or something! OW!!!
But happy to report things are A-OK now! I think it just depends on the girl, the shape of your 'canal' and his ding-a-ling. It can feel odd at times. I'm sure you will adjust and not to worry!

And I agree with the lube suggestions! Maybe there is too much friction and you need to wet it down! LOL

As long as it doesn't gross you guys out a lot and if you're not overflowing (ew) or really crampy, you may find s e x with your period to be good because you will definitely be 'lubed' up. Just a suggestion. We don't do it when I'm having my period but I know some people who do and say it's really good and it actually relieves the cramps. I can't imagine how knowing my cramps. I'm usually such a biotch during my period that I don't want anyone near me!
lol But you can always give it a try if you're into it! ?

I was just going to suggest this. We actually do have sex on my period and it's great. Just put down a towel and then take a shower together!
Things will feel great in no time! Have fun!!

ETA correction: We have done it when I've had my period but toward the last day or so when it's not so heavy. I have a hard time getting past it at first and honestly DH is slightly grossed out after it's all over and he's sees his....well, you know..
But DURING it it's great and neither of us are thinking about it.
