I wanted to write about my experience with her since i had read mixed reviews. I had a hair trial booked for 10am. I received an email confirmation the night before. I left my house at 9:15, and she had called me to see if i was still coming which i didnt know because i was driving. It ends up because i didnt answer, she assumed i wasnt showing up. I never called and canceled and as far as i know a confirmation email is a reminder especially when no response is asked for. She ended up coming an hour late. Then proceeds to talk and on the phone and text the whole time while doing my hair and make-up. I think her work is good, but she lacks in business skills, and i dont want to have to worry on my wedding day which is why i wont be booking her. Just wanted to share my experience because i wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt after reading mixed reviews.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sorry... I don't care how great her work is, she sounds like an arrogant person who cannot conduct business. I can't believe reading this, right after reading what she did to that girl on her wedding day. Ridiculous.

Now I'm nervous I booked her for my 9/19 wedding and I have been reading that she talks on the telephone, etc. the entire time. I want the focus to be on me and hope this is not a problem that day .

I would be nice about it but direct and say something like 'Could you please take that phone call another time?' I am a fan of the direct route.

Don´t be nervous. At least she does good work. If I were you I would speak to her and let her your concerns. I wouldn´t say exactly that you have read a lot of bad reviews on liw (because i think they already had an issue with her) but maybe mention it another way. Or to be really at ease, the day of your wedding you can just confiscate her phone the moment she walks in your house!!
Either way I´m sure everything will work out well for you.

I've been biting my tongue, but have to chime in. I went for a trial last week and had the same experience. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day and going through a personal issue. Now, I'm seeing a trend. My friend, who is also a bride, and I booked her on the spot bc her work was so good. She did sit with me for a while and did some different styles. She was helpful, sweet and offered many suggestions though. I do agree with the phone though. I did notice it, but thought it was a bad day for her.

Re: Experience with *m**i**a*
my sister used her for her wedding and my sister looked beautiful but us bridesmaids were kinda fallin apart hair wise b4 we even got to the reception and by the time we got to the place for pix our make up wasnt looking so great, *** herself was good like i said my sister looked amazing but we all paid a lot of money thinkin we would have a professional doing it cause my sister raved about her but she ended up bringing 2 assitants who def weren't as good as her and i wouldn't say she was the best so i personally got to use *** but some of the other girls got the assistants and to me it wasn't right to have spent so much and not even be happy with the result!

Re: Experience with *m**i**a*
Im a bride with a recent M*I*A* for my wedding day. I want to say first and foremost, she did INCREDIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE work! I have NEVER felt sooooo stunning in my life!!! My hair and makeup were absolutely perfect and I got sooooooooo many compliments on them specifically! My hair and makeup BOTH stayed all night...
The assistant she brought with her was Teresa who did INCREDIBLE work on my BM's. Hair and makeup that lasted ALL NIGHT. She was personable and friendly and VERY talented!
Unfortunately yes M*I*A* is ringing my doorbell ON THE PHONE!!!!!! She is carrying her stuff into my home while my parents are trying to introduce themselves as well as my mother in law and SHES ON THE PHONE! She was so busy on the phone she couldnt introduce herself to my BM's or introduce us to her assistant and I Have to admit I was embarrassed by this. Im asking my girls and my mother and mother in law to trust me that this woman is unbelievable but its hard to believe someone soooo unprofessional could be so talented. BUT SHE IS... She was on the phone for a good 15-20 minutes, the entire time it was taking her to set up. I felt she should have finished her conversation in the car and then came in. OR I mean its 530 in the morning what couldnt have waited until noon, which was when she was finished? And to her credit she apologized and stated that it wouldnt intefere again AND IT DIDNT. She NEVER picked up her phone again...
But I agree shes SOOOOOOOO TALENTED but she needs to learn some professional/business skills because THOSE skills are what make people feel comfortable with trusting you for the most important day of their lives.
AND for the woman who has her booked for the 19th DONT WORRY you will get her FULL Attention and she wont get on the phone THAT day while shes doing your makeup. Will she show up on the phone I dont know =/ BUT She WILL CUT IT OFF When she begins to do your hair/makeup. SO DONT WORRY! YOU ARE GOING TO LOOK GORGEOUS!
She was the one thing I wasnt worried about that day/morning. =))
I hope that helps someone. Im sorry to anyone who had a bad experience with her but I cant say my experience was bad AT ALL. It was AMAZING! I would book her again for anything and would LOVE to work with her again. And I would recommend her to ANYONE AND EVERYONE...

Seriously DONT WORRY! IM a total worry wart and no matter what people said when your day comes its her TOP PRIORITY and YOUR HER priority!
She truly took her time with me, she made EVERYTHING, EVERY DETAI, EVERY ANGLE you looked at me PERFECT. She was INCREDIBLE! My BM's LOVED HER! She did 1 girls hair and 1 other girls makeup and they both IN LOVE with their hair/makeup.

Re: Experience with *m**i**a*
my cousin had a very similar experience with her a few months ago....unfortunately this seems to be reoccuring with other girls as well. hopefully she sees this and realizes that her professional skills need improvement.
