Danielle-if you go only 4-6 months(WOW I ENVY YOU) would you be willing to go to someone who tweezes them and its about $50 the first time and then $35 after...Theres this guy and he is knows as THE guru and the best there is, he does ALL the celebrities and ive seen him on so many shows, he was even on fabulous life of celebrities on VH1. He is opening up a salon in NYC this october, hes been in LA all this time. There might be a special going on though for the opening

I go every 4-6 months for a clean-up, but I have to tweeze every few days. I'm good at following the shape, but every 4-6 months they need to be professionally done.

I'd definitely pay someone who is a MASTER at it, especially closer to the wedding. Right now, I have two different shapes.

to me it's worth it if they know what they are doing, don't burn me and actually shape them. maybe I'll go next July or so, let him shape them, and then go for a clean-up right before the wedding

Oh, I remember him from what not to wear. The $125 is bananas but that's if you only want him to do them. Maybe his specially trained 'brow divas' will be able to do a decent job

Re: Eyebrow threading

I have delicate skin also I don't get the clusters but I do get red bumps and the top swells. Either mention that you have very sensitive skin and see if then can use that type of wax I also use all natural aloe gel. The aloe plant is even better. I know it also helps blisters because I have also used it as an aid when I got sunburn.

Good luck.

he absolutely will. I say try to do it now if you want him especially b/c w/ him having clients on each coast now he may have a particular days he's doing his NY clients and others for his Cali ones.

Re: Eyebrow threading

Danielle if you are looking for someone on LI I have someone I can recommend. She waxes and tweezes and I highly recommend her.

Also, do you use any special kinds of creams before you wax or thread? I never burned when I got waxed and then all of a sudden I started to get red, bumps and burning -- turns out it was my face cream. So now I can't use it 24 hours before I wax.

FM me if you want the details of the girl!

I'm a fan of arched brows too but it takes such skill. I've been growing out my brows for a bit due to a botched wax job..grrrr...so i'm interested in this too. I'm fine w/ a brow diva for now, maybe i'll request him when it's closer to the wedding. I didn't see where it said when the ny salon was opening.

yeah good idea, use just a brow diva for now and then him. Theres a sign that says 'NYC salon coming soon' but another LIW'er posted that he is opening it up in october and if you want to get an email about it to email the address they give on the site and ask about it
