My face broke out into tons of pimples (which I NEVER get!!!) last Monday and it hasn't gone away! My engagement photo session is coming up this Saturday. What can I do to get rid of it?!

Re: Face Breakout Help!! - Engagement session
I hear proactive helps. My friend uses it all the time.
I broke out on the day of me eng. pty. I tried covering it up and couldnt no matter how hard i tried. Luckily I had my makeup trial that day. My makeup artist used airbrush makeup and it was completely gone!

try to stay calm stress makes it work...drink a ton water and leave your face alone do not touch it... maybe go get a facial and ask them for a rec. i would def not start washing your face with a product you never used.

tanning will help kill the bacteria and dry everything up. that's usually what i do when i start breaking out.

The fastest working acne medication ive found is stridex...they're pads you just rub on your face and they're super strong...supposedly the strongest stuff you can get w/o a prescription.

Proactiv isn't some mystery product - it's stuff you can get in the drugstore, conveniently packaged together (and priced higher). The proactiv cream is just Benzoyl Peroxide at 2.5% strength. You can buy that from Oxy or Neutrogena at any drugstore. It's like $6.
DO NOT buy the 'maxiumum strength' stuff - that's 10% concentration, 'the strongest you can buy without a prescription,' blah blah. 2.5% works exactly as well - it's all your skin needs to kill the bacteria that cause pimples. 10% yes has more of the stuff, but your skin doesn't need it (no matter how broken out you are) and it is so harsh, it actually makes your pimples appear redder.
As for a wash, Proactiv has a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide again, but I prefer to give my skin the one-two punch of b. peroxide and salicylic acid, to attack the pimples in two different ways. My favorite cleanser is the Neutrogena oil-free acne wash. If you want to use 'Proactiv,' though, just look for a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide as its active ingredient.
Trust me, I've had terrible acne all my life, went to dermatologists for 5 years, have tried everything... a saliclylic acid face wash and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream are the best you're going to do without a prescription.

Wow!! I didn't know that...the maximum strength stuff seems to be the only thing that works for me though Maybe my skin is just that bad? Or is there something else you think I can try?? I don't want to damage my skin!

I had this problem in the winter. Go to Clinique. Invest in the toner and soap suitable for your skin. I cleared up within two days after using Clinique.

I'd honestly go have your makeup done. They will cover it the best.
