All, what are you doing with your favors - one per person or one per couple?
Does it depend on what the item is? If so - why?
Thanks!

Re: Favors: One per person or one per couple?
i dont know much about it, but im doing one per person..our budget allows for it...we are young, and will be the first in our group of friends to get married..a lot of people coming to our wedding will not be going home together..so i think its nice that they can each have something to take home to remember the night

It would depend on their marital status I would think. If they're married or living together, it would make sense to just give one.

I am actually skipping the whole favor thing. I mean, I have never been to a wedding where the favor was something I loved and kept. Plus, it's a little bit of a money saver, too!

we did one per person and SO MANY people left 1 behind...what a waste.
I'd recommend doing 1 per couple.

If you are giving an 'edible' favor... i.e. godiva, chocolates, mints, etc.. I think you should do one for each guest.. If you are doing something non-edible... CD's, crystal, winestoppers, etc.. one per couple is what we did..

We will have a lot of couples and the favors we are debating on are something you really dont wanna give more than one per couple and are not cheap. I will really be doing it per invitation. I have older cousins living at home/in college so they each will get their own invitation and be invited with a guest if they'd like. Not 100% sure yet. Most of our guests are serious/married couples.
BTW.. great question I have been feeling like I might be chinsing out doing it one per couple but I see others are fine with it...

We are giving out Lance Armstrong bracelets and other charity foundation bracelets, so it will be one per person. Before we considered this option, we were considering picture frames, and then it would have been one per couple.

I'd agree with that. Ours were candy dishes, so it seemed silly to give to of them to a couple, esp. if they live together, but if it is say. . . a big cookie. . I'm not sharing!

We did candles and did one per person. We've received CDs, which was fine for us 1 per couple since we (obviously) live together...Food I'm always happy to get my own... A wine stopper/corkscrew, something like that we could easily share.

Thanks all - I think we're doing bottle stoppers so it sounds like one per couple is Okey Dokey!

Re: Favors: One per person or one per couple?
I voted for depends.
as in - singles vs. couples, your budget, the item
example 1 ice scream scoop per household is plenty, but I want MY OWN chocolate thanks very much!
eta - we are doing lucky bamboo at one per couple, unless you are single and ready to mingle.

I would do 1 per couple unless it's something edible.
