Re: February Brides ???

I want to do mini champagne bottles. Good thing we all don't have the same friends! I love the idea of mini champagne or wine bottles I'll probably save some for us to toast at our 1st year anniversary, 10 year, etc...

I am doing Godiva Choc. in the small boxes , I thought it would be cute because it is v-day and a lot of people usually get choc. on that day.

Juju~I never thought about the anniversary thing! That is a great idea!

I found them in Lyn's House of Wines in Lynbrook for less than $1.50 per bottle...

I like all of your ideas. I saw really cute wedding conversation hearts. Since it will be Valentine's weekend I thought that might be a cute idea, we are also giving a donation in our guests names.

Alias, where is Lynn's House of Wines? That is such a good price. I was going to order them online for $2.30 a bottle. What size wine bottles are you getting? Big ones or the smaller ones? Do they make the customized labels at Lynn's? Thanks

Re: February Brides ???

It's in Lynbrook and yes they include the labels. It
is the price for the smaller ones. CZM Liquours in Valley Stream carry them also for the same price. No, online is way over-priced...

Re: February Brides ???

kkfeb04 we are using the conversation hearts too. I found a web site on line that makes personalized koozies (my family loves those things), we are going to order them and put the conversation hearts in them and wrap them up all pretty and everyone will get one on the way out.

I bought my shawl at David's...its huge I love it. I have a strapless dress but I am keeping the spaghetti straps on (they are detachable).

I have everything done except:

limo

As for favors I am giving out personalized champagne glasses I love those candy hearts though

I can't believe how time is flying!!!!!!

Re: February Brides ???

It is really flying. I am down to 228 days. I remember when I was so excited we got to one year. It is going by sooo fast. I still have sooo much to do. I can't wait. . I can't wait to enjoy my new husband. I am so stressed. Today I locked my keys in my car, with it running when I got out of school today. I started crying. I have never in my life locked my keys in my car. I felt like such a jerk, but I am so stressed that the littlest things set me off. Anyone else feeling the stress like me.

Re: February Brides ???

I am so sorry to hear about your car... I did that once, not fun.

I am starting to get aggrevated at Fi for little things like his lack of a guest list. Or don't you think it's about that time to ask his Groomsmen? I'm sorry, but 'Yo, ....so uh...ya' wanna wear a tux to my wedding?' is not offically asking any of our friends to be in the bridal party. It would be nice if he could just decide on a best man! Th only one officially in it so far is our ringbearer who is three!

Re: February Brides ???

Oh my God, our FH's must be twins. My FH is exactly the same. Won't ask people. The only people definitly in it are my brother and his son. He still has 4 others to ask. Plus he is so lazy. Wants nothing to do with the planning. Says whatever I want is fine and he'll love it. Yet then I tell him I am going to spend $1000 on a videographer, he say s do we really need it, thats a lot of money. Everything is a lot of money to him. I just keep telling him, its a wedding, they are expensive and he's not even paying for it. My parents are paying the majority. All we have is extras. Men are really Helpless.

Re: February Brides ???

My parents gave us $10.000, we are paying for the balance. He is ok with the money part, he doesn't bother me about that at all. It's just his attitude on having to do ANYTHING relating to the wedding. It's been wonderful NOT having him involved for the last year and three months, but I keep telling him to do what I tell you and I promise, I'll go away... It's still not working.

Re: February Brides ???

Wow...I thought I was the only one who expreienced the FH laziness thing, I guess not! He is soooooo relaxed about everything concerning the wedding. Everything with him is ......'yeah, we have plenty of time before we should be worrying about that', and it's important things like the guest list, flowers, etc. He drives me crazy sometimes. He doesn't want to help, but then complains when he doesn't like something. I told him he has no say if he doesn't want to help out, so that got him to agree to look at invitations with me next month.
I have to laugh though, they are ALL the same!

Re: February Brides ???

TOO Funny! MY FH has not asked any of his groomsmen neither. And I have 7 girls! We know for sure 2 of them....but, come on get with it! He has a problem with asking!!

Re: February Brides ???

I finished booking all my vendors today. I booked my photographer and videographer. I am soo happy. Now all thats left are invitations, ordering favors, ordering girls dresses, picking unity candle, gifts for BP, cake topper, jewelry for me, shoes for me, tuxedos for the guys, gifts for our parents, rehearsal dinner stuff, finding make-up person, programs, getting undergarments and I am sure there is more. Wow, I thought I was almost done with everything. Oh well, I am still having fun, I am not ready to quit planning yet. Oh yeah, I forgot robbing a bank to pay for everything!! (Ha Ha)

Re: February Brides ???

Isn't it funny when people ask you how your plans are going and you think you are ahead of the game, then you realize how much there really is left to do? I am up there with you in the bank robbing thing, ha ha!

Re: February Brides ???

I am so happy planning our wedding. I just wish I didn't have to work on top of that. LOL Everyone says 'oh your stressing over the wedding' To me, planning our wedding is so much fun! It 's like a hobby....you enjoy it!!!! It's my job that is stressing me out. More so now than any other time and it really has nothing to do with the wedding! I've noticed a lot of phone tagging with my vendors though. Especially, because I'm not at a desk 9-5. Anyone else, feeling the same?

Re: February Brides ???

I am a teacher and the month of June is NUTS, the stress had NOTHING to do with wedding plans. I have not done any planning in a month or so. We are also looking to relocate and build a house! That is stress! HA
