I am just curious as I am starting to notice a trend with FH and I. We argue every once in a while. There are weeks when everything is great, we have an awesome weekend and then come Monday, we want to strangle each other. The strangest thing is we argue more on Monday mornings than any other day or time. How weird is that?!

Re: FH and arguing
We don't argue much either. I think we are both very stressed right now, still living at home, knowing that in 5 months we'll be out!! So when we DON'T see each other we get cranky and argue. But our arguing is more like, me screaming and him smiling at me. VERY FRUSTRATING! LOL

Re: FH and arguing
we really dont argue a lot. When we do its usually because we are both really stressed.
A few weeks ago I was having some problems and I asked him a question and he practically bit my head off and just kept telling me well its all my fault and that I need to learn my lesson.
But about 5 minutes later he appologized for saying those things and said he has been so stressed and we would work through it together. And we did and everything is fine.

Re: FH and arguing
you guys sound like a normal couple to me! We mostly argue over $ (i am a spender) and about him not helping around the house enough.
But it's probably once a week. And they are not usually big deals. The big deal arguments come along every 4 or 5 months i would say. Hope I didnt just jinx myself!

Re: FH and arguing
We have one big fight every few months over something stupid and then we laugh about it. The last one was over our dog and what he did to my new rug. I think it's healthy to argue, but not to the point where the cops are involved!

FutureMrsTC - you and your FH sound exactly like me and my FH!
I'm the spender - he's the saver I'm the cleaner - he's the messer upper

Re: FH and arguing
On the rare occasions that we do it's because we're both just cranky at the same time and no one feels like dealing with the other so we get snappish.
If I'm in an okay mood and he's being a crankpot, I can usually ignore him and vice versa when it's me and PMS Even then though, it's not really arguing. I don't think we've ever had an all out argument about anything.

Re: FH and arguing
Hey babe!!!
As you know from my post on BHB FH said something about dresses that got to me. We had a nice weekend as well. I know us so well that we are going to fight tomorrow when we go to the travela agent, because I am going to want to upgrade some things.
To answer your question- over the years our fighting has lessened. I have learned to pick my battles and sometimes just shut up.
The problem with the both of us is that we are both stubborn and we hate being told what to do. Fh is slow as molasses when it comes to getting things done and I am impatient and eager to get things done.
He drives me crazy at times, but I love him to death!!!!!

Re: FH and arguing
LOL Sage, let's make a deal: we won't complain about their mess for a week and in that week we can go shopping!
PS I agree with NVRBRD - learn to pick your battles

Re: FH and arguing
Kysha no wonder we are friends!! W&C are the same way! Me and you are the same!! LOL I know why we do the Monday morning battles. Its because we don’t live with each other yet and at 6:30 am we are racing to my house so I can get ready and be on a train by 7:37. We have gotten used to me sleeping over on Sunday nights. I think we need to break that habit before this becomes an every Monday morning ritual. Its bad enough I have to go to work in the morning. Having an argument before getting there doesn’t help.

Re: FH and arguing
We just bicker- nothing serious.
Hey Sage- sorry I didn't call Friday- pretty much just was in my PJs on Friday as soon as I got home.. the weather did NOTHING to motivate me this weekend.

Re: FH and arguing
Usually we don't fight, we actually didn't argue for the first two years we were together. Now that we live together, it's usually, if we do 'argue', me getting mad because he's like butterfingers with money. I get mad at him a lot because he doesn't pay the bills, I do, so he has no idea how much money it takes to stay on top of things. I constantly have to tell him money figures to keep things real in his head. It's so annoying! But that is about it. We don't really argue. He can put up with my crankiness and I can put up with his when it arises.

Re: FH and arguing
We argue sometimes. It happens. Mostly about money or helping around the house, keeping things organized, etc. With the wedding around the corner and us paying for it I have noticed us bickering more than usual...but that'll pass when stress levels get back to normal

Re: FH and arguing
The only things we argue about are money and movies. We get irritated over stupid things ('stop drinking out of the container,' etc.) but the our arguments are few and far between. We argue about monye because he likes to spend and I am a saver. But they are short arguments and we get over it quickly.
Wonder of wonders, we agreed on a movie this weekend - Bruce Almighty. It will be another year before that happens again.
Everyone argues sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it.

We mostly just argue over stupid things but lately with the wedding coming up we have been argueing more about money-I am a horrible saver so it causes a lot of stress.

Re: FH and arguing
I am not worried about arguing at all. I am not perfect and FH isn’t perfect. Everyone argues at some point in the relationship. Whether it’s a disagreement or full force screaming match. Everyone cannot be perky and up beat all the time. I can be the first in line to say I am a BEATCH when I am stressed, lack of sleep, tired, or just plain old woke-up on the wrong side of the bed that morning. FH knows me so well, he can tell by looking at me that something bad is running through my head. We have learned from past arguments. But this habit is really hard to break. I have gotten used to seeing FH’s face every Monday morning. But for our mental sakes, the sleep overs will have to take a break. Thank goodness only 9 months left till I can wake-up EVERY morning seeing his gorgeous face!

we don't argue that much. when we do it's about money- i am also a spender and he NEVER picks up after himself. i have to follow him around the house picking up after him and sometimes it gets really annoying.

Re: FH and arguing
It would be impossible for 2 grow adults (or children for that matter) to live together in the same home, sharing chores/money/responsiblities and NEVER have an agruement. of course, people have different tastes and habits. It is perfectly natural.
