I have been growing my hair for almost 2 years. It is sooooo long and although it looks beautiful it is a pain in my assss.
So I decided that I would chop it the day after the wedding so I dod not have to be bothered with it on the honeymoon. Here is the cut I really want.
Well last night I brought it up again to fh and he said 'Please DO NOT cut your hair, I really love it long and I don't like short hair on girls.'
I tried explaining what an inconvenience it is for me with all this hair, but he kept just saying 'Do not cut it'
Now what, should I do what I want or think about how he feels, what would all you women do?
****************************************************** Update: I sat FH down and explained how fed up I was getting with my hair and how I really want to donate it after the wedding. I also showed him the pic of the haircut I want and explained that my hair groows really fast. I also told him how it bothered me that he told me not to do it.
Well, he finally said that he doesn't really care and that I should do whatever I want and he is sure any haircut I get will look great.

I'm doing the same thing- growing it long and then choppin it all off after the wedding! My guy likes long hair too, but I just told him TOO BAD!

I actually love long hair and can't imagine it short -- shoulder length is 'short' for me. That being said, if DH 'forbid' me to cut my own hair I would be furious and we'd have the biggest fight ever.
IT'S YOUR HEAD -- DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WANT WITH IT
Long hair is a pain in the butt but the other day I curled it rather than blowing it out and DH couldn't keep his hands off me...

Ditto to most of the comments.....do what you want, it's your hair, and it'll grow back. FH might not like short hair in general....but he might lovveeee short hair on you. He'll just have to find out after you chop it off

FH said the same thing last summer right before we got engaged, but I cut it without caring lol, and he LOVED it, and wants me to always keep it short now .. So I say cut it, and let him realize how hot your gonna look with it short!!

Some of you are totally freaking out over this. HE never DEMANDED nor FORBID me to cut my hair. He asked me not to because he likes it long. And if you read the update I am cutting it anyway.

There was another poster in this thread whose FH forbid her to do anything to her hair, to the point where he stopped speaking to her when she cut it once. That's what I and some other posters have responded more strongly to.

By all means cut it - but take it from a girl with big regrets - make sure the shortest piece can still make it back into a rubber band - b/c its a pain in the *** to workout w/all of these piece of hair sticking to my face. SO annoying.

im doing the same exact thing! people love my hair but don't realize how annnoying it is and how knotty it gets..im cutting it short also!!! if you like it thats all that matters!
