FH step-father(sorry-long)

Original post by nervousbride15

I want to start this off by saying that I wasn't going to post about this but I'm really upset about it and could use the vent and the advice.

I was sitting at work yesterday when all of sudden an email pops up in my inbox from FH screen name. It came in at like 11am(Fh is at work and I spoke to him at work 5 minutes prior to getting the email)
the email said such hurtful things, It was typed like it was coming from FH-in the email it called me names, made fun of my weight, told me that he didnt want to marry me and just some really horrible things.

after discussing this with fh, we agreed that we think FH step-father(or should I say FH's mothers husband cause FH was 20 when they got married)is responsible for it- he figured out what FH password was and typed me an email poseing as FH, hopeing to cause a huge fight between us. He doesnt want us to get married and has been very vocal about it in the past-
FH is going to talk to him about it this weekend and I just dont know what to make of it or do about it-I am really hurt by all of this and couldnt imagine ANYONE doing something so horrible.

if you dont want to reply on the boards, please feel free to FM me.

thanks 4 letting me vent.

No, it comes from the computer that sent it.

What could she possibly lose? An a**hole step-father that tried to mess up a sacred union? Or the MIL that supports and backs up an idiot like that!?

She would lose nothing, but FH would lose a mother that I'm sure he loves, even if she is an enabler. Obviously the mother doesn't see this guy as an idiot, which is the big problem. I am curious if he has a good relationship with his mom.

So then the decision is, you pick your mother or your FW. How does a person amake that decision? For me it would be easy because my mother is the epiphany of evil. But it's not so easy for most.

Edit: I just got a thought and now I am concerned. If this guy hates you so much, do you think it is possible that he would do or say something at the wedding. Now that I think about it, it's probably best that he doesn't go. But then if he is disinvited, then I am pretty sure the mother won't go either (more like she wouldn't be allowed). Damn, this is a very tough situation. I feel for you, I really do.

Sounds silly but at least its just his Step-father. I'm sure their relationship has not been so great. I think as long as you have your FH support, everything will be ok. He should decide if he should confront him. Maybe you should have him talk to him about the anomosity he is showing you, rather than bringing up the email since you can't prove it.

Hang it there- I have a difficult FH step-father as well. My FH can't stand him. It makes it really hard.
