We got him tungsten. He liked it better because he doesn't wear jewelery and it's light in weight.

You're going to love this... FH wants to tattoo the wedding band on his finger because he doesn't like wearing jewelry.

FH got a tungsten carbide one because it won't bend at all, so he won't have to worry about it getting scratched up at work or bent while he works

ditto, we just put deposit down on Saturday.....

FH originally wanted the same thing, but fell in love with his wedding band the second he tried it on...take him shopping, maybe he'll do the same!

Platinum. DH is a police officer so it is durable. I like that is can be polished over and over again without losing metal. It gets dull from wearing it to work but once it is polished it looks brand new.

same here except that FH is a phys ed teacher

i actually think that's a really romantic idea (and I'm not one for tattoos) bc of the permanence of the tattoo and it symbolizing that your marriage is forever...i know, im a sap

Same here. Also because tungsten can be cut off his finger if it's ever necessary, but titanium cannot.

I was worried about this too but I was told that this isn't as big a deal as it seems because hospitals would have equipment that can cut the ring off. I wanted to confirm this info before actually buying the ring though.
