I can get over how careless they're being. If FSD has separation issues, why would they make a decision to come in for only 3 days?? Wouldn't they want to show her that they love her and don't want to leave right away so they could spend time with her??

This is my biggest problem with this...honestly, it ***** for FH but it ***** even MORE for FSD...every maternal figure in her life has abandoned her and treated her like sh!t and now because they don't like how we are doing things they are treating her the exact same way!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?! I can't even fathom this level of selfishness!!!

Selfishness of people disgusts me!!

BTW I'm a child psychotherapist - it sounds like FSD could benefit from some psychiatric treatment to help her deal with some of her issues...FM me if you want more info.

We both totally agree with you and our #1 priority when we return from our honeymoon is to get her started on a course of talk therapy and probably also some drugs to help her out (normally I don't agree with medicating children out the wazoo but she has very poor impulse control and I really think that she needs help to make the right choices)...I will definitely FM you at some point though, we need all the help me can get!

Ilana, I am so sorry. They're so selfish. You're just trying to do what is right for FSD and all they care about is using that to spite their own son. They're insane and I would put money on it that somewhere on their family tree they are related to my FILs.

You guys are definitely doing the right thing with your FSD... She definitely needs structure and you are doing the mature thing by making this decision, even though it is hard and not everyone is happy. Although I'm not a parent, that is what being a parent is all about - making a decision that benefits your child, not yourself. I hope everything works out for the best...

No...FH will be really upset and I'll have to try very hard to get him to actually be happy on our own freakin wedding day. I could kill them.
