As many of you know, FI and I bought land last year in North Port FL. For about a week the website has been down.

I checked today and its up. Here are the pics of the model of the house we are having built.

Front of the house

Lanai and pool

Dinning room

bedroom/office (there are 2 guest bedrooms)

front of house

another pool shot

master bath. What you dont see is the shower. its a walk in shower on the left hand side

master bedroom - there is a sliding glass door that leads to the pool

family room

nook

kitchen

outside - there is a huge sliding glass door that is actually a hide away door which means that entire wall opens up. that leads to the living room

there is another bathroom but no pic of it. its a basic bathroom. its located between the 2 guest bedrooms.

we're having an additional bedroom and bathroom added onto the construction

floor plans

CO???? OH NO!!

When we were looking at the model, i was very close to wanting to jump in. I asked the woman if she would mind if i splashed around for a little.

I tried to convince her it would add to the ombiance of the house

Marcella: its 30 min south of Sarasota. Our nearest airport would be Fort Myers which is about a 40 minute drive.

Its very close to Port Charlette. Its original name is North Port Charlette, but its too long so Sarasota county change it to North Port

Congratulations Chippa!! It's beautiful!! One of my aunts lives in Sarasota and my other aunt moved to Northport years ago to be near her, but she missed Long Island way too much and only stayed there for about 2 years (one year in the house she had built which looked a lot like yours)!! It's nice in Northport, I went down there twice to visit and had a good time!! At least you won't deal with this crappy weather anymore!!!

May you have many years of happy memories in your gorgeous new home!!!

Edited for grammar!

Thanks Bears. Its so beautiful down there. When we were there last in September I didnt want to leave. The weather was so perfect.

I am hoping to go back down this year to visit. Maybe in May. I cant wait to be living down there.

I'll definatly not miss the cold of NY

Decbride: I am hoping 1 year we will go and break ground and then it will take 6 - 8 months to build, FI may go down first and live with our friends while the house is being built and he's working down there and I'll be up here tying up loose ends. I hope to be down by June and the house to hopefully be done by August of next year.

I'll definatly be signing on everyday and probably be giving a weather report in the winter

We are in the beginning stages of house hunting in Connecticut, I wish I could see houses w. a pool! FH laughs that I would buy it on the spot.

OMG - BEAUTIFUL.. I am much jealous!

I nearly fell off my chair too because looking at the pictures, I almost thought they were of my GF's house. She had a house built on land she bought in Loxahatchee (outside of West Palm) and it's IDENTICAL. To a T!! WOW, I love it....
