FI's condition (kleenex alert)

FI's condition (kleenex alert)

This is really tough to type this as I'm thinking about it. It's really hurting me. Right now this is supposed to be the happiest time of my life and now it's shattered. Even now with the upcoming job and move, it doesn't mean anything anymore.

After dropping off my best friend/MOH at work (we work 2 blocks away), I got a call and it was Rob. He told me to sit down for this as he is ready to tell me what is going on. He's got colon cancer! He's been having it for a few months but hid it from me because he doesn't want me to be stressed or be a burden to him. He now felt now is the right time to tell me this but even with this it is breaking his spirits. He told me that is as if G-d played a trick on him just as things are now in place. The doctors told him it has advanced to his stomach. I'm litterly crying about this because I feel as if he is giving up and I want him to fight for this. I already had dealt with this before and sadly that person died too. I don't want to lose the love of my life to this either. I'm trying to be strong but I can't.

Wow- I am sorry that it has become so serious. I hope he will come around and be a fighter in his battle. He is having a hard time coping I am sure. It is amazing that he didnt want to burden you with the news.... He loves you and hopefully that will make him want to fight and be positive and live through this troubling patch. My thoughts are with you

First, Jesus, I am so sorry that this is happening to you guys.

What else are the doctors saying? Does he have to go for treatment? Do they expect that he will recover?

Attitude is half of the battle. He has to stay positive.

Again, I'm so sorry. We're all here for you.

Thanks Kim and everyone. This is really tough on me. I'm meeting up with BFF for lunch and going to break the news to her. She's already going through a rough time with the death of her uncle (liver failure) and with me moving away it's going to be super depressing.

FI also told me to he loves me more than life and I didn't deserve this at all. That I deserve to be happy. But I am the most happiest with him.

Im so sorry this happening ....

Try and stay strong and discuss options with him, I know a few people who had this and they are okay after treatment.

As far as treatment, he's on chemo now (thus complaining being ill) but I much rather have him in New York instead of Trinidad. I know it's in G-d's hands right now but this is very tough.

For some reason, I had no idea he was in Trinidad. Can he come here for treatment? Does he have insurance here?
