Fittings...

Fittings...

I scheduled my first fitting for July 14th. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get all dressed up in my gown again & this time I can try it on with my veil & everything Do you always need a second fitting? I only need to have a bustle added & the top taken in very slightly. I assume that can be taken care of at my first fitting, but I don't know how it works.

I also have my first hair trial on June 17th. I can't believe how close September is!

it all depends on how the dress fits on you...i myself had to have about 5 fittings cause each time i went, i lost a pound or two from sheer STRESS.

(btw--its all been gained back and then some!)

I think you're supposed to have three. Definitely more than one. The first one they just did the length for me then took it in by my boobs (they're small). LOL!
The second they did the bustle and fixed the length a drop b/c it was still too long and last was the small things and making sure it's 100%. If you're first fitting is July and the wedding isn't till Sept they need to see you again b/c you may fluctuate in weight a little and that effects the dress. I would ask when you go for your fitting, but they'll tell you that you're going to need another

Re: Fittings...

My first fitting they had to take my dress in like 6 inches, then they had to do a few other things. The second fitting I had to try in on and they took it in too much at my boobs (as if 6 inches wasn't enough) so now at my third fitting I will see if they fixed all the stuff from the 2nd.

So in answer to your question, if they have to do anything at all at your 1st fitting then you need a 2nd to make sure they did it all right.

That's true! Obviously I'll have to go in a second time to try the dress on & make sure the alterations were done correctly. I knew that... really... I did...
