Florist Question???
I'm confused... since I'm having my ceremony in Brooklyn and my reception in LI... do I get a florist in Brooklyn or LI??? Or do I have to get seperate ones for my bouquets/boutiennieres (sp?)/corsages (bklyn) and centerpieces, etc. (LI)?

Re: Florist Question???
Oh no !!! any reputable florist will go where needed, and should be able to travel, for instance, both my ceremony and reception are in LI, but my florist is in Brooklyn !!!!!!They are coming out to LI. Usually they bring you the bouquets to your home or wherever you're getting dressed, and then deliver the centerpeices to the reception and Church if you're having flowers there also.
BTW, I will highly recommend the florist I'm using in Brooklyn.
FLOWER DEN - 718-627-3600, you can ask for Gigi and ask her any questions you like.
A few Brides here are using her, and Shamma already did, who by the way, had the same situation as you, ceremony in BK, reception in LI. She posted her pics here and her bouquets were gorgeous and exactly what she asked for, her centerpieces were gorgeous as well.
Good Luck !!!

What kind of bouquets and centerpieces were you thinking of?
I'm going w/lillies for me (white casablancas and peach asiatic) and peach/white/ivory roses for the BP
High Centerpieces 2 dozen ivory roses, w/5 peach asiatic lillies.

Re: Florist Question???
That sounds really pretty!
I want calla lillies & some other for me but, I'm not quite sure what other flowers I will want to place in there. For centerpieces, I definitely want high ones and some candles. I saw high vases that were filled with water & flowers in the middle of it (I'm not too sure what it's called), but it looked nice.

Re: Florist Question???
Crystal, I highly recommend FD, Gigi is creative and so wonderful to work with. Make an appt and see for yourself. Liz gave you the run down already so I do not even have to bother.Gigi delivered the flowers to my home for me and the girls and they did the same for where the men were getting dressed.
Then they went on to set up the hall. I have never heard of a florist that will not travel.
Happy planning

Re: Florist Question???
If I'm not mistaken, Shamma also had those high vases w/the water. When I went to see Gigi, she put one up for me, high w/water in the vase part, and she had put like a stem of orchids or something in it, it was BEAUTIFUL, you have good taste
