Venetian yeacht club gives candelabras to use and they suggest putting flowers in a ring around the base. i saw a sample the other day and it looked kind of skimpy? any suggestions for low arrangements or do peopel typically prefer high centerpieces. I like high ones but I thought candle light may look nice since it is an evening wedding. help!!!!

The ballroom of the Temple has very high ceilings. Though I generally prefer low centerpieces. I felt the room would have looked empty if we didn't go with high ones.
Exactly why we are doing high ones. I was at a wedding at the EW last year and the high centerpieces did not interfere with the conversation at all!

We had high and they did not get in the way. The top part of the CP was higher than the people when they were sitting.
We also go married at PGCC and it wasn't cramped at all. We only had 130 people though. For larger weddings, I can see how it would get tight in there.
I am not a fan of the high c-pieces, but these are really beautiful

Low for us...I love the look of a low, full CP. And we have HUGE high ceilings. I've seen low and high in there, and I prefer the low.

Mine are low - we're using flowered tea pots and filling them with roses

Re: flowers: low or high
we did both all in one centerpeice...
we started off with low, but then we went to a wedding and say high...
LA Blossom said we can do both....
tall call lilies...
on the bottom we did mincallas and candles with some accenting flowers to bring out color
