Question: Will u invite your FMIL to see your wedding gown before the big day?

I invited mine! I wanted her to feel like she was really important to me in the wedding process! However she was busy the day I asked her so she didnt see it until our wedding day!
Personally I think its a nice gesture!

Mine never came b/c I ordered my dress really far away from where my mil lives but I showed her the picture!!! She never saw the dress on me until the day of the wedding.
If she had lived closer I definitly would have had her come see me try it on.

I think it depends on your relationship with her.
I didn't invite mine, but we don't have a good relationship (FH doesn't have a good relationship with her either), but if we had a good relationship then I definitely would have invited her!

she didnt come with me to choose it, i wanted a special mother daughter time, but i will invite her to see me in it at some point before wedding

My FMIL brought me to David's Bridal to pick up my gown, and I tried it on for her to see. It was a nice way to involve her.

it really depends on your relationship! I personally choose not to allow my FMIL to come with me for my wedding out fit, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. If you value her opinion and want her there, by all means bring her along. If you feel she is rude, too opinionated, and so on, don't bring her.

I get along really good with my FMIL, so she has come with me to look quite a few times.

I showed my MIL pictures I took in it because we didn't live in the same state. She went BM dress shopping with us though because we did that in NY.

That's what I did too, this past weekend. My mom is in Boston, so my FMIL came with me instead.

I brought mine with me & my sister to look and that was the day I ordered too. My mom passed away a few years ago. If she were alive I would have probably just gone with my mom and sister.

I will inviite my FMIL to the SECOND fitting when we go to pick the dress up. I already showed her a picture of my dress and she was not able to muster up a heck of a lot of enthusiasm. I realize my dress is not traditional but it is surely elegant and very much ME. She could have at least lied and said she liked it even if she didnt.

I invited mine but she hasnt made the trip to se eit. She has seen pictures and will probably see it on me the day of.

i had my mom and my fmil there. i think she appreiciated it. it depends on how you guys get along.
