Re: FMIL to see gown????
My FMIL has passed away but FI asked his aunt to stand in her place. I didn't take her with me shopping bc she doesn't drive and it'd be tough. But once the dress comes in I'll take her and my mom so that they both feel involved, we all get along great so there's no worries there!

Yes I started out with my mom and then brought my MIL and my mom and some BM's. I can never make my own decision.

My mom passed away 2 years ago so I would only allow my sister to come with me.

Re: FMIL to see gown????
I invited my FMIL to go dress shopping with me, but only AFTER checking with my mother if it was ok. I really wanted to include my FMIL in the whole process but not take away from the whole mother-daughter bonding with my own mom.
But then after I actually ordered my dress, my mom had a change of heart and doesn't want anyone to see me in it before my wedding day. She was the only one with me when I bought it, and it was a special mother-daughter moment, and I have to respect her wishes.
So yes, I was OK with my FMIL seeing my dress because I like her and wanted to include her, but she was still thrilled and happy when I finally found the right dress and showed her pictures.
I can't wait to get married and wear this dress!!! I'm so excited I found THE ONE!

Re: FMIL to see gown????
I'm torn about it, when I first went to David's Bridal, she did go with me, but now our relationship is in a bit of a weird place, I think I will only go with my mother when I finally pick one, but I might bring her to a fitting, it all depends, because now it looks like I will buy my gown from RK Bridal here in the city and I don't think she would come into the city just to see me try on my dress.
