Food & Menu poll

Okay if you had your choice for carvings, which would you choose?

Turkey
Sirloin

(Meat is an entree choice, right now FH is trying to decide between NY Strip Steak and Prime Rib)

And for those that eat mussels should we have

White wine sauce
Marinara sauce

These are a few things we can't decide on!

Yummmy!! I would pick:

Steak
Mussels Marinara

Sirloin
and
Marinara

If it were me, I'd pick the sirloin and the mussels in the white wine sauce. I am not a big fan of seafood in tomato sauce. But that's just me.

This is a good question because I have to choose my menu tomorrow & I have no idea what to pick either. I definetely think Mussels marinara is the better choie.

But for the carving, I was thinking turkey because we have prime rib as an entree choice. Is it too much red meat to have it at the cocktail hour and as an entree choice? I know a lot of people are eating healtier now and turkey is really popular.

I'm curious to see what others have done &/or what they would prefer!

What are your other menu options? If you're having a beef, maybe you should go with turkey. I think I'd lean toward the sirloin though.

As for the mussels, I'm partial to a red sauce...but white may be better for the 'messy factor'.

I'd go with sirloin only if your not having a meat entree during the reception, otherwise turkey.

Musells in white wine - just becasue it's less messy.

it depends... do you have any beef anywhere else on the menu?? i tried to think about what i have elsewhere so that when i chose certain things, overall, there was a little bit of everything.

i prefer sirloin and white sauce for the mussels but then again i always try to think what do MOST people like and what would my guests want the most?? for me, i have sirloin as a main entree and no turkey at all, some people in my fam really love it-so i'm having it as a carving station for that reason. and even though i like the white sauce, i'm having marinara lol i'm marrying an italian so i thought of my guests and i think the majority would pick that!!

I agree!!

I would choose the carving station that is not offered as a dinner selection. (If you have a steak a dinner, have a turkey carving & vice versa)

Mussells in white clam sauce. Marinara is too messy.
