I am having the parents and inlaws over on Sunday and was wondering what dishes (besides Pasta, my father won't eat it) can I prepare ahead of time and pop in the oven. Only so I don't have to spend all my time preparing and cooking while they are there.
Any suggestions?

Re: Food related/cooking question....
I agree-I'd go with one of those put it in the oven foods, like roast chicken or roast beef.

You can put Sheppard's Pie in the microwave.
Oscar, can you? Is it good? Do the mashed potatoes get soggy?
I don't think they do. I've reheated it before in the microwave ,and it tastes fine.

I think I am going with the roasted chicken...it seems easy. Thanks for all the suggestions. My parents do like Shepards Pie but they already had it this week.
