For girls doing Vienesse hour

For girls doing Vienesse hour

ok so yesterday at the wedding, they do the VH which was great btw, but i also felt like hmmm already? but i just thought ok guess time really flew...well after the VH most of the people left even fh's whole family but Fh and i stayed bc he wanted to drink some coffee first...well they take the tables out and then the lights go down again and music comes on and there was about an hour left. The bp and a couple of the younger friends and then their immediate families were there but like i said mostly everyone left, fh and i did dance a little after the VH and then we even left.

This has me thinking now, so is the VH gonna end things early and kind of change the mood of the party. Or are some people doing it as the last hour and nothing after? and then when i thought it was gonna end with the VH i started thinking to myself, is this how i went to end my wedding? i'd rather end it with everyone dancing and partying

i still like it though and when i brought it to FH he said no we have tohave the VH, we already added as an extra but until yesterday i didnt think of this aspect at all. Its funny bc i paid so much attention to things i didn't before and now i have alot to think about lol.

hmmm....do they always bring it out an hr to the end of the party??? maybe your RH can bring it out later than normal?? I dont remember people leaving after my sisters wedding once the VH was over...I was also drunk...lol

interesting...never thought about this before. the VH was served in the reception room? My VH is being served as the last hour and it is outside the reception room in the atrium. The way i envisioned it is the DJ announces the VH is beginning but the dancing and music are still on. People can opt to go outside and have dessert or not or just wander back and forth.... ill have to think about this though lol.

I totally get what ur saying - now that I think about past weddings I've been to, it's been the same thing.

I think bottom line is if the people are ready to party, they'll party - if you got lots of older ppl & boring ones too - expect early leaversssssss

Our RH does the Vienesse during the last hour of the reception, the food is in the cocktail hour room across the hall ... so those who don't want to eat are still dancing and partying

i don't know do they usually do it like that? lol that is what i was wondering and yeah i can def tell them if i want to do it for the last hour, but then i started thinking, i would rather end it on the dance floor lol ahhhh decisions

i also realized i want to do all the dance in the beginning, all weddings theres SO MANY interruptions, once you get all into the partying, its like you have to sit for so many things lol

so true, but also i think everyone thought it was over, i did too though lol. Bc everyone was just sitting eat desserts and talking and they left during that, bc think about it, it takes just a few mins to get stuff from the tables and then you're sitting around for close to an hour.

hmm...maybe you are better off doing it in another room...so you dont disturb the dancing

hi, i am having a vh at jt also....and was concerned about this issue also because a friend was just at a wedding at jt and she said everyone left after the vh.... so i called jt and they said if i was in the skylight room (im in the penthouse) then I could use one of the CH rooms for the vH....but he also told me we could do the vh at whatever time you want and they can put the tables on the dance floor for 15 minutes then move it out of the way so the dance floor is open again. i dont think i am doing the whole cake cutting tradition so i may see if they can bring the tables out then... Th VH is not how I want to end my wedding. What time did that VH start? People automatically assume that once the VH comes out then its times to go, NOOOOOO, I dont think I have ever left a wedding after the VH bec I like to dance off all the food and dessert I ate, hahahah. I will prob have my DJ annouce to everyone that the wedding will not end after the VH. What time did this wedding end?

We are having our brought out during the last 1.5 hours...however its not brought into the center of the room ..its shown in the center and moved to its own area so it does not hinder the last hour

i never even thought of that! thanks for posting this, FH and I have some thinking to do now.

Re: For girls doing Vienesse hour

Yea I think its because it was a sunday wedding.

For me., they open the doors to the cocktail hour room so its an extension to my room...so there will be dancing at the same time....

but your right...the dancing does stop...but cant they just move the V-hour stations to still have dancing?

Re: For girls doing Vienesse hour

Weather permitting my VH will be outside so whoever wants to eat let them eat, and whoever wants to dance, they can stay behind and dance

Re: For girls doing Vienesse hour

at floral terrace they do the VH outside the room
so the party goes on inside while people wanna dance...and in the hallway outside people go for the goodies...its a perfect set up

so i dont think it will change the mood of my party. i hope that it wont.
