For girls getting married in May..

When is a good time to go for your first fitting?? I was told around Feb or so..
I plan on losing weight... about 10 lbs and I dont want to have them keep altering it.. My dress as of now, fits like a glove, however like I said, I pray that I will lose 10 lbs, and it is still kind of long. I had originally purchased shoes, but returned them.. the lady at the bridal shop said I need to come in with the heel size that I will be wearing before any alterations on the length can happen..

So..... when is a good time for alterations? thanks ladiessssss

I was told to go in March too, Or late late Feb for me because I need to make sure my dress is done by May8th for it's plane ride home! lol

I was told 2 months before, so mid March for me. And the lady said to make sure all the weight loss is before then, and try to maintain the same weight to eliminate the constant fitting and re-fittings after that fitting.
and I want to lose about up to 10lbs too

2 months before. I don't think I'm going to lose much weight but hopefully be a little more toned. I have my heels already!

Just becareful ladies my girlfriend who got married in sept lost so much weight right before her wedding, basically at her final fitting they had to take it in again (like two weeks before her wedding). She said she was soo busy trying to make sure everything was done all the time, half the time she forgot to eat! and the stress alone

definitely march. 2 months is usually the norm

funny. my friend before her wedding had her last fitting 4 days before the wedding. then when she put her dress on the day of it was lose adn there was nothing that could be done as she had laces that were pulled all the way to their ends.
she herself was shocked that she lost this weight in just 4 days

well i am getting married April 23.

had my first fitting December 5, my store said you have to come in within 3 weeks of when they got the dress to check it.

my second fitting is February 27.

i figure i will have a final fitting April 9 & then pick up the week of the wedding.

I wish i could pick my dress up the week of I have to take it home with me the first weekend of May, as i am coming home for someone else's wedding and to finalize all my payments. I hope those three weeks dont bite me in the hiney!
