are you wearing your dress all night?? or are you going to change into something else?

We are inviting all the guests back to the hotel bar afterwards...a huge bar and a live band at night. My mother in law said I should wear my dress to show off I just got married..and when am i going to get to wear it again? But then I dont' wnat to get it dirty. What are you girls doing....or what can you suggest??

After party is at my house. I am going back for maybe an hour and I will be in my dress until we leave for the hotel. I want to be in my dress when I step out of the limo at the hotel. I WANT MY RED CARPET MOMENT DAMN IT!!

Am I the only one? I'm not going to wear my dress all night; I want to be comfortable at my afterparty and I don't think I would be too comfy in an Irish pub in a wedding gown. That's just me. I'm the kind of girl who's home from work for 2 seconds before she throws off all her clothes and changes into flannel PJ's. Besides, I'm looking forward to buying a second pretty white dress! (I figure I'll buy a sundress from J Crew or Ann Taylor or someone like that).

I'm in my PJs as soon as I get home, too... but I'm keeping my gown on as long as possible!

But it's your day, so do whatever YOU want!

Well, our recpetion hall has a hotel and bar. We are staying there the night of the wedding and planning on having the after party at the bar. I'm going to play it by ear. If I feel like getting changed I will. There will probably also be other brides there, so I'm not sure what to do.

Mine is at the hotel bar also. I'll be in it for a little while then planning to hit the room to change and will head back to the party.

We rented a catering room from our hotel and HE!L yes i am keeping my dress on.

I'm DEFENITELY Wearing it!!! My dress maker said that when I go to get my preserved the preservation place will clean it all up and make it look new again!! And even if you can't getg everything off. When will you ever wear it again?!

I did! We had a limo take us all over Huntington - my dress was on all night - it was a blast! We went to Red Bar and Blue Honu and other places - I loved it!!!
