Where do you buy your pants and other clothes?

I am almost 5'11 and it is sooooo hard!

Im 5'9' and I get all my jeans Long. I usually get them at Gap or Old Navy. I found that they fit the best for me

I'm 5'10' and rarely have a problem anymore - now that the style is longer pants, with high boots or some type of heel. If I do buy pants at the Limited, they have to be lengthened!

JCrew, the Gap, and many others I don't seem to have a problem with.....but I'm just not petite enough for Ann Taylor

Some stores even carry long now, but they're way too long on me!

I just find that there is such a limited selection at some of those stores. And then if I go to a tall women's store, the selection is so matronly!

Edited to add: I could also definitely use some suggestions on workout pants.... they always come up to my ankles and look so stupid!

try NY & Co, they have S/M/L but you can get a small long or med or short. TRy them

www.longelegantlegs has some long pants.Some clothes are frumpy in there but some are nice.

I am also 5'10' and I get my pants/jeans:

Victoria Secret-has 34 length jeans & pants, I order online. I ordered VS jeans the other day, lowrise, with a 35 inch length! I am in love!
Mavi Jeans-I buy at Lulu's-expensive but nice
Calvin Klein
Guess-Macy's or Bloomingdale's
Levis

I also bought 1 inch shoes for my wedding day

John is 6'1' but I still never wear more than 2 inch heels.

Jenny5150 is 6 feet and she is wearing high heels for her day, I think that's awesome!

jennbaby, my wedding shoes were 3 inches high! i dont mind being tall around my hubby, he's 6'6!

Gosh - most of you girls are taller than me! I am only 5'8' but everyone thinks I am even taller. I have such a hard time with pants! Even sometimes the longs are too short...depends on the mfg or pants style. Gap and Banana Republic Longs are usually too short! I hate it because some mfg's make the length dependent on the size so the 4 or 6 usually has a 32 inseam. I need a 33/34 inseam!

The Gap did sell Extra Long (or at least they did) on the website. I think the Extra Long is 34 inseam (for my size at least). Express-Long usually fit me in pants but the jeans depends on the style. Guess jeans usually come in longs and fit me ok.

As far as sweats, forget it..I never find them..they all come to my ankles. I just wear them pulled down sagging in the butt with a long sweatshirt!

The worst for me is suits (which I have to wear everyday for work!)! I have such a hard time with pant suits! Things seem to have gotten a little better lately but usually I have to buy very expensive brands to find the lengths that fit!

PS I wore 3' heels for my wedding. My hubby is barely 6 feet tall. With the veil I think I looked a little taller but I didn't care! I wear heels everyday and wasn't gonna change that for my wedding. DH jokes about it but I don't think it bothers him too much. I think he is use to it!

You tall girls have the reverse problem I have... I need to have all of my pants shortened, or they drag on the floor!

I'll have to remember to wear heels to the GTG or I'll have to stand on a chair to talk to you long legged ladies!

I wish I had that problem JennRenee!

I find sweats at Bang Bang alot that fit long! I also have problem with work pants and here's a little trick.
I look for pants that have a cuff, have the cuff taken down & wella! longer dress pants!

jenn - that cuff thing - people tell me that alot - I tried it once but I felt like you still saw the seam on the bottom...does that happen to you? how do you get around it?

I get a pant with a cuff and check underneath that the hem is long. Then I have the cuff and hem taken down and we make another cuff out of it, if it has enough seem otherwise no cuff. As for the line, it doesn't show on darker pants!
The stupid stuff I learned by being tall lol.

I'm just like you Niecey - I'm only 5'8 but all my pants are too short - I can totally relate to pulling down sweats! I order a lot on line -- Gap & BR usually have tall sizes.

Gee, and I thought any pants ever made were for taller ladies. I think I have a 30 inch inseam, but every pair of pants I buy, whether jeans, sweats or dress, are 32 inch and too long on me!! I'm the opposite, I always have to shorten my pants when I buy them unless I can get them 30 inch inseam.
