Ok in the 'silly reasons...' to marry FH thread and many times on the board actually I noticed alot of girls saying how they can't wait to be able to sleep together(as in real sleep) waking up to eachother and all of that.
So i am real curious as to what the situation is for those who dont live with FH, because i dont think of those reasons for the fact that we do all of that now. Yes it will be different but still
FH and I don't live together but we usually do sleep together. We used to always just stay at his place, i would always bring all my things over. Now we basically stay at my house, on occasion we still stay at his house.
On days he DOESN'T have softball lol, he picks me up from the train we go to my house, in the morning we leave for work together and so on. There are days yes we don't sleep together, if hes playing and the game runs late or something.
Im curious if there are people who never stay over eachothers house or rarely do

Re: For those who don't live with FH
FH has his own apartment right now (while I live with my parents) , and he lives about 35 minutes away with no traffic. So I pack a bag for the entire weekend, go over after work on Fridays, and drive home Monday morning to get ready for work again. We don't really see eachother during the week because our schedules are so busy. I tutor after work some days, while he works late or has basketball games. I work 5 minutes from my house, so that morning commute is sooo easy from my house and it is terrible coming from his house. I can't wait till summer because this is the first summer I will be doing nothing...no work, no summer school teaching, no graduate classes...NOTHING! so I will be spending a lot more time at FH's.

My parents have a problem with us sleeping in the same bed in their house. They would just rather not see it. I'm actually fine with it b/c me & FH need like a king size bed to sleep together. We aren't the cuddling type... We need our separate spaces. May seem weird to some, but it works for us. When I sleep at his house, he has a full size and him and his cat take up most of it and it drives me crazy!!!! So I actually prefer sleeping in my own bed for now
My dad asked if I was going to move in with FH before the wedding so I assume they are accepting of that situation. But the first thing we would do is buy that BIG bed so we can get some good
We are the same way! lol When we nap together on a Sunday let's say..we start off cuddling, toss and turn and then are on totally opposite sides *of my HUGE twin size bed mind you! LOL *

Re: For those who don't live with FH
we dont live together and i am one of those who cant wait.
we do sleep at each others places, but not all the time. we have so many things going on its hard to always do that. I'm a teacher and FH is a school psychologist so I always have work that i need to finish at home and he always has reports to write, so it is almost a hassle at times to sleep over, leave early in the AM so that we can finish our work and hang out with each other later. if we go out and stay out really late we will sleep at each others. But i cant wait until its everyday.

Re: For those who don't live with FH
FH lives in Florida, but before he moved, we never slept at each others house. When he sleeps over at my house, we sleep in the same bed but my grandmother is also in the room. When I visit him in Florida, we sleep in the same room unless his parents are in town. If they are we sleep in separate bedrooms.

When you don't live with each other and don't have your own apartment you really appreciate the little things like waking up next to each other. Both myself and my fiance live with our parents and living with an Italian father, sleeping together doesn't fly..even when its really just sleeping lol, and we've been together over 6 and a half years (since I was 17). I'm def. looking forward to us being able to wake up with him every morning!

Re: For those who don't live with FH
Before we moved into our apartment we almost never stayed at each others houses, We both lived with our parents and it was a major no-no. There was maybe 2-3 times that he stayed over my place since either it was really late and I didn't want him to drive home, or my parents were away.
Now that we live together we still don't get to sleep together every day. FH works nights so by the time he gets home I'm leaving for work and vice versa. Everything now depends on his schedule.
