How did it work with your vendors when you postponed and rescheduled? Did they provide the same quote/contract? Did you lose money at all?
Thanks!

Re: For those who have postponed their wedding...
I hadn't booked any vendors except my hall...and because it was Suffolk I just cancelled and re-booked elsewhere when I was ready to get married.
Good luck!

Re: For those who have postponed their wedding...
i lost my deposit from my florsit ( very upset since they had OVER A YEARS notice), lost my deposit from videographer (also over year notice) and am fighting with hall for my money back(also over a year) they say they keep 1000 no matter what, its such BS...ive been waiting for 3 months now because they tell me that they have to rebook for equal or greater value to get my money back...they are in nassau county so doesnt have the suffolk county rules

Re: For those who have postponed their wedding...
We got lucky and had only booked two other vendors other than the hall. First we went to see what our hall had open in the first warm month of 2007.(We wanted either end of april, may or june) june would have cost us more and end of april there wasnt anything available. once we got the new date we called the other vendors and told them about the switch. Both had the day available so it was just a matter of new contracts that we went and picked up a few days later.

Re: For those who have postponed their wedding...
We actually did the opposite...were moved it up. Originally we were booked for 7/15/06 because I was getting laid off and didn't know if we were financially able to afford a wedding. Luckily, I was offered a job for more money then I was making at my previous job so we decided why wait and moved up the date. We were married on November 26,2005.
JT or any of the other vendors we used did not give us a problem, they said provided the date is open it will work out and it did

Re: For those who have postponed their wedding...
Also, JT was going to charge us an additional $5 per plate but we gave them a hard time. They allowed us to pay the same price we would of paid if we were to get married this July.
