For those who live with FH's

What is the one bad habit he has at home?

John throws his clothes on the floor right NEXT to the hamper, he is too lazy to lift the cover & thrown them IN

Re: For those who live with FH's

jennbaby, i am married now and live with dh and he has the SAME habit...i used to keep the hamper in a special closet by the bathroom, but since he just threw his clothes on the closet floor, i moved it to a different and more 'convenient' spot...guess what?? the same thing happens

Re: For those who live with FH's

I'm getting ready to move in w/FH, so I guess I can better answer once I'm there. BUT he doesn't take out the garbage and will complain about it, but will continue to stuff it until you can't even open the lid and we have to air out the place for a week. I said I would leave if he does that when I move in.

Re: For those who live with FH's

He steals the covers He just seems to pull and pull throughout the night until I awake cold and PULL BACK!! Although I know it's not on purpose, I find this to be so annoying. Now, we have two comforters so when he monopolizes one, I still have the other. Could it be because he's so tall (6'5) that he just needs so much more than me (5'2)? Hey, I'll choose my battles...

Re: For those who live with FH's

Whenever he takes something out of the frig or kitchen cabinet he never puts it back he always leaves it on the counter including wrappers that should be going in the trash. It drives me insane!!

Re: For those who live with FH's

My husband is the same - we have a closed hamper now and he refuses to lift the lid and put his clothes in it!! Before that we had just an open laundry basket and he'd still miss it by a mile!!

He has tons of other annoying habits too, but you kind of learn to live with them. We lived together before marriage as well, so I know it going into the wedding!! My one big peeve with him is his ability to lose anything that isn't bolted to his body. He lost his wedding ring last month (it was found after 5 days) and he 'misplaced' his palm pilot he just got for Christmas. He also has this thing with dental floss. He uses about 15 feet every time he flosses. I am buying more every other week!! LOL

Oh yeah, he uses a glass for every sip he takes and can never close the kitchen cabinets!!

gotta love 'em

Re: For those who live with FH's

FI snores like a freight train. It's not pretty. My only chance at a somewhat peaceful night sleep is to get to bed before he does. He also can't put ANYTHING away and he can't throw anything out (tissues, wrappers, etc). My FMIL dropped the ball on teaching her son any sort of domestication skills

I didn't realize how spoiled I was... but his really annoying habit is nagging me about the stuff I do... like leaving my shoes all over the place and not cleaning up after myself... they say its a man's world right? so I guess I act like a man at home!

Re: For those who live with FH's

Never wipes down the stove & counter after he is in the kitchen. So then I try and clean and everything is all hard and imposible to get off!! He is getting better though.
He also is the worst cleaner. We'll split the jobs and I end up secretly going back and doing his again LOL.

Re: For those who live with FH's

He leaves his clothes piled all over the place... never puts them in the drawers unless I nag him to.
He also doesn't put things back in the fridge... soda, milk, he even left some ice cream cake out once...
Also has a habit of losing things.
HAHA one that always makes me laugh... he'll be looking for somehting and I'll tell him where it is (fridge, on counter, drawer) then he calls to me 'I can't find it'. So I go in to find it and all he had to do was move somehting out of the way. So now I just yell back at him 'Move things around!!!'
Not to mention snoring, but I wear earplugs so i don't hear it anymore!

Re: For those who live with FH's

Oh where do I begin, to tell the story of the man that I married

I love him to death but

He leaves his shoes right by the door
He forgets to replace the garbage bags
He doesn't wash the sponge out after washing the dishes
He hogs the remote
He scoots all the way over to my side on the bed and puts his cold feet in to my thigh

He throws his clothes in the hamper but it does not make it in all the way, but he will just let it hang
