For those with Lucida style engagement rings
What wedding band are you getting?

Re: For those with Lucida style engagement rings
I don't have a Lucida, but just wanted to let you know that Tiffany sells Lucida bands that are gorgeous. They have plain ones in different millimeters and ones with diamonds, definitely worth a look.

Re: For those with Lucida style engagement rings
I have the Lucida style ring... my fingers are really, really small (size 4 1/2), so, although I wanted a thicker band to match the Lucida engagement band, it didn't look right on me, so I ended up designing my own band. It's a 2mm platinum band, with 6 tiny little diamonds spaced around...

Re: For those with Lucida style engagement rings
Hmm.... good idea!
Here's what I found:
1. The first pic is of the Lucia setting (mine's not Tiffany's so it's not that stretched out). The problem with this setting is that very few bands sit smugly against it.
2. I really like the look, but if I ever wear the band separately it's kinda plain.
3. The third is a rounded channel setting which I think will look better in real life than pic. It might be a bit too much for me though if I wear them together (I really don't want to over power the e-ring).
4. The 4th is just an idea I'm thinking of, a variation on the plain band. Except instead of 1 stone have 3 - 5 just like that, spread out along the band.

#4 is what I have... though the band is a little smaller than what is in the picture. The pic is likely 4mm, whereas mine is 2mm, so the diamonds aren't quite as apparent, but I had the same concern... I didn't want the wedding band to overpower the e-ring

Re: For those with Lucida style engagement rings
Just as an FYI - Lucida is the patented name for the cut of the diamond (as opposed to emerald, asscher, princess, etc) not the setting. The setting is a four prong shared setting, many people imitate it, but no other jeweler can call a duplicate a 'Lucida' since the name and cut is patented and unique to Tiffany. They do make the plain bands in 2mm (all the way up to 6mm).
ETA: The last pic is of a Peretti band with diamond (.05ct), it's a different collection than the Lucida.
Good luck!
