Former/curent Chateau Briand brides

Do you guys know when the venue will be contacting you to discuss seating, placement, and cake tasting? I emailed one of the managers regarding our Photo Booth and s'more station, and he said bc of the size of the booth (it fits 10-12 people) plus the s'more station, we would have to seat guests 12 to a table.

Also, since we hired a cigar roller, I don't now if they'll fit or if we have to have the cigar roller come out during cocktail hr. I don't really want to do that since some of the guests may be bothered by the smoke scent throughout the night. Initially, I wanted to bring the cigar roller out toward the end of the night, the same time as the s'more vendor, but now I don't know if there will be room.

And last question, does the venue call you up to schedule a cake tasting or do I have to do that on my own? Sorry for all the questions girls! I would've spread my questions out, but the site was acting up lol

I was told that about 2 months before you do the seating/finalizing of everything etc. I am doing my cigar roller at cocktail hour so I'm not sure about the fitting. I am sure if you want to go in and talk to someone you can.

As for the cake tasting you can do that whenever you want. I did mine a few weeks ago. Their cakes are done through Francesco's bakery in Hicksville. All you do is call them, tell them you want to come in to pick your cake and do your tasting. (516) 931-6821 They bring you out a tray of all the cake options to try, show you what cakes are included but basically you can do whatever you want if you pay extra.

I just went through this myself last week.

They will be contacting you at least 3 months prior to your wedding. This is where you'll pick you menu selections, table linens, & cake. They'll also discuss the seating arrangements & give you a blueprint of the room of where you'll have your reception. As for the cake tasting, they recommend you to contact the bakery directly to set up an appointment.

Hope this helps. :)

yep, just went through this 2 weeks ago. We picked out food, linens, got placecards and copies of the blueprints for the room. We have our cake tasting this Saturday at Francesco's. You can schedule your tasting, whenever you want....just no later than a month before the wedding. We are cutting it a little close lol.
