We found a dog in Oceanside over the weekend, put up signs but haven't heard anything. I wanted to post his picture on here incase anyone knows of someone who lost a dog. He's so adorable! He's at the animal shelter in wantagh now so here's a link to their site: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7557665
Please don't mind the stains on the blanket (they're not from the dog). It's a blanket from the garage

Re: Found a dog

Hi girls! Sorry I haven't given you an update but I'm at work and haven't been able to get to the computer. DH called the shelter today and they told him the owners came to pick up the dog. I'm so happy that he is able to return to his family. I never thought I'd get such a huge response when I posted his picture and I thank you all for all your help. Now I only wish I knew who his owners were so I could visit him

Re: Found a dog UPDATE at bottom of page 2

That's great! I love beagles. The thing about beagles is that they're hunting dogs, bred to follow scents. If a beagle gets out of the yard, he or she might follow a scent long enough that the dog doesn't know how to get back home. It's not that they're naughty, it's what's been bred into them, it's their nature. Anyway, I'm sure his family was happy to have him back home, and it was very sweet of you to pick up a poor lost dog. If you hadn't he might have been hit by a car, or worse.

Great news and I am so relieved to read that he was okay. Being in suspense so long today had made me think the worst. Thank goodness he has been reunited with his owners.

I am so glad to hear the good news!!! Thankfully there are kind people like you out there that pick up the dog and take them to a safe place rather than leaving them wandering the streets! I can't imagine how happy his family and he must be.

Im so glad to see that he is home safe and sound to his family, especially for the holidays! And I agree with the above, you are such a kind person to take him into your home instead of letting him wander around on the street
