It's got to be a gut instinct. The fox gave me 9 passed, 12 hot stations, 6 cold stations, and a seafood boat for cocktail hour. You have the most pull before you book, they have the ability to give you more you just have to ask for it! I saw the thatched cottage, beautiful outside space but I was not impressed with the options for food, and the handicap issue was a real problem for us, outside and around the ramp feels wrong in December but that was us. Crest Hollow offered $20 less a plate but it was no where near the same worth. NEGOTIATE!

i know it has to be a gut instinct...
and i do agree with the handicap problems with Thatched..that is a big reason why we haven't booked with them..i think we could have over looked the other minor things there but that still sits in the back of my heard...

trust me i have not problem to negotiate...we are going to be a small party about 100..didn't think we could do that much ...how many people are you having?? i could get by on the 9 passed if they would throw in 2 extra stations and a seafood boat....
thanks for the insight...

You have to think what is most important to you. But dont just look at the quanity look at the type of passed foods there vs the other hall. it alot of seafood and upscale food. Ppl really dont eat alot of the passed food they may just try it. cocktail hour stations and dinner is most important. 7 choices which include duck, shrimp scampi etc cant be beat. most halls offer 3-5 options of one chicken one beef one fish and one vegetarian( if that). Think about your guests and what they would like but most importantly follow your instincts. like i said one place can offer 20 things but maybe those 20 arent as good quality as the 9. you have to compare the food.
