Does anyone know if the rumors are true that Ron from Fox Hollow left? He was my BM and i just booked w/ him about a month ago, and he was really nice... now i'm just worried about who will handle my contract! I hope that they honor everything he threw into it...

Once you book - there is a very slim chance you'll deal with your BM anymore...
I think once we booked, we spoke to Ron two other times & that was it. Once you have booked - you move to another person...and in our case that was Jenn.
BUT - since you are so far off from your wedding.....you may want someone to speak to in between now & then... Maybe go to the Fox Hollow and face to face ask them who you can speak with??? This way - you don't get a phone call run around....

I have thought about leaving them at the tables. However, I bought them because they were a two-in-one thing (placecard holders AND favors) so doing this would negate that and cost me more money (but not a lot if I just make tent cards). I have thought about this a few times.
The other thing, I am having a day wedding reception. Will it matter if the candles are lit? Will you even see them? Will it create any ambience at all?
I go back and forth about having them at a table in front of the WGP, not lit, with a sign to tell people to take them as it's also their favor - or just having them at the table, wrapped, and NOT using them as placecard holders.
I looooooved that they did double duty though, so I am headed towards my first option ....
i hear you about the 'double duty' my favors are buttefly candles that are go going to be lit on the table, i'm sure this doens't help you, but i do have your same reasoning!

Aww.. I met with Ron originally as well. I hope he is ok.Btw, got the direction cards in the mail yesterday. My only concern is that they have basically an ad for the hotel on the back of them. I don't blame Fox Hollow for doing that, but it's tacky in my opinion. I specifically told our other hotel that I didn't want invitation inserts. I don't know if I should make new direction cards or just suck it up and deal with it. It's very clear that they come from the venue and that I had nothing to do with adding the hotel info... argh.. any thoughts??

Honestly - i s u c k e d it up and dealt with it. I put the other hotel card in with the invite and was very careful to put the Fox Hollow directional cards - DIRECTIONS up. There's a chance most people didn't even notice them. Also - most people won't use directional cards anyway - they have GPS' now or will use computer printed directions..

I used the direction cards. No one cared. I had the fox hollow inn as one of my hotels though but I don't think it matters.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
i was in the briar fox room as well.I think I was told that 180 was the Max for that room.
We had over 150 and it was perfect but we used round tables.
1 think I will say about the Fox Hollow is that they will NOT do something that doesn't 'work'
So if they tell you that your max is one thing, it will be comfortable even at the max. It will be more comfortable with less people, but honestly, you want people out on the dance floor most of the night anyway right?

Thank you for the info. How many people did you have at each table? They told me they could only fit 14 round tables. I didn't think more than 10 people per table would be comfortable. I hope I'm wrong.

Im not sure if its the same tables, but I had some tables of 12 at my wedding in the WGP and it was fine. of course the tables of 10 were better, but no one seemed concerned with a table of 12.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Anyone know what the Fox Hollow will do / say if I have more guests than the amount allowed in a room??? I know that this is very unlikely. But I am inviting 170-172 and the room holds 156 plus Fh and I. (FH's parents added 25 people who 'will not come but have to get an invite.') What will they do? Will another table fit? Will it break all sorts of fire codes? Will they tell me to tell some of my guests they cannot come? (I can always put that on FH's parents I guess - 'You can invite them, but if they say yes, you will have to tell them they cannot come.'
if they promise me they will not come and they DO, then it's on THEM to fix it, right?)Anyone with info about room capacity please let me know - thanks!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
FYI - Called Fox Hollow today to ask about vendor meals. A band I was looking into said they would just prefer pizza instead of some big meal. So they said I couldn't bring in outside food like pizza BUT I could tell them to just eat at the cocktail hour and there would be no charge. Otherwise its 1/3 off.

OH my gosh JBooth! It's like you are totally reading my mind (or my guest list I should say!) I am in the same situation! Too many invites & no one is doing any leg work to find out who exactly is planning on coming! I have MANY OOT relatives and we are doing the day after Thanksgiving so flights are not going to be cheap! So I've been trying to nicely push people to decide if they are coming or not! I've been stress free so far, although now thanks to this thread - it's been a while since I checked it - I found out no longer have Ron & now need direction cards! Can I ask you girls - did they contact you for the 4 month decision making? Or am I going to try and track down my new Ron? I love that I am getting married, it's just I've been sorta stress free & don't want to start stressing! We'll see I guess I'm getting my first try on today! YIKES!

You will definitely get a letter in the mail. Don't worry about Ron not being there. The BMs are really just for bookings, as far as I can tell, and the day-of. You'll have a BM at your wedding, making sure everything is running smoothly (timeline, etc) - I think a lot of the time it's Eric, the operations manager. I met with him once when my mother and I had a payment and had questions to ask. Seemed ok. But don't worrry about that, no one really talks to the same BM for the whole process. Good luck with your try-on!

REALLY?? I wonder if I can get my band to eat during the cocktail hour only
I think they are going to be setting up then though. Thanks for the tip. They should totally allow you to bring in a pizza though. Welcome New Vendors
