Thanks everyone- these are great ideas! Would love to see more pics of everything and definitely more pics of candy bars!LOL at 'present the idea to FI'.. i just did and he is 'i'm not opposed but i think you should just give something to everyone.'
To girls who had a candy bar- did you have a lot leftover? Did it 'flow' well or did people bunch up and have to wait? (My crew might get cranky with that!)

For cakes - they have a book available, actually, several books available for you to pick - but if you can supply a picture, that is a great idea too!

There wasn't much bunching....
The fun about the candy is that people will take what they want and it's like party time! Those that have kids that didn't come - can bring something home to them!
We did have a bunch left over....but out wedding was late - so a lot of people left before the candy bar came out..

Please let me know about this! I think i might freak if they only give me 8 choices.. that doesn't sound right. I remember at my initial meetings they said i could pick anything and they could make anything (i assumed at the time they were exaggerating a bit, but only 8 choices is not ok!)
What did they look like??

The candy bar at my wedding was a HUGE hit. I didn't even see it ...it went that fast. We had a TON of candy..i think my mom said over 100 lbs. it was ALL gone..but there was no bunching. Everyone loved it!!

They are pretty standard wedding cakes. A wedding cake was not a big deal for me, so what they had was fine for me. They had the tier cakes, square and round. They were all white, but if you liked the shape of one and the design of another you could mix and match. A picture of my cake (flowers were added by my florist) is in my album.

Oh, ok! I feel better. Your cake is pretty and definitely along the lines of what I was looking for (although perhaps even simpler w/o the trim).. and our florist will add flowers.. so i should be ok!I just had nightmare visions of old school cakes with actual tiers- like those column things separating them..
Thanks!

Q: Did any of you use any PWP services? Which ones? Why? Was it 'cost efficient'? I am going to the PWP tea party at the Fox Hollow with my mom tomorrow... what should I expect?

Has anyone used their in house florist? If so, how was your experience w/ them, and did you find that their prices were less than other florists you looked at? Also, were you given any kind of credit for using their in house florist? Thanks :)

I am meeting with them in a few weeks b/c I can't make the tea party since I live out of state. However, I have spoken to them on the phone a few times for advice and they were just terrific! So helpful!

I'm not going to fib... I only reached out to them about invitations and that was via email. The price I had, the lady was honest with me and told me to get them, because she couldn't do better with the price...
You may be better off doing some online research, but it's your call...

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
How are the cakes they provide you with? I wasnt planning on going with another supplier due to budget issues, but I'm afraid it wont be good enough. Past brides- can you post a picture of your cakes? Also, a few questions....
How do they taste?
Are they really plain looking without flowers/decoration?
Who would be in charge of decorating the cake if I requested a cascading row of flowers?
