Friday PM or Sunday Afternoon

My first post... :)
First, we are still unsure of location. One option is the Westbury Manor.

We can't decide on Friday PM or Sunday afternoon. Ceremony would be outdoors, cocktail and reception indoors in their garden/library room. From a 'guest's' perspective, which would you prefer to attend? Cost about the same.

i find it hard to get to a friday night wedding at times. I mean sometimes you can get out of work a bit early so you can get on the road in time to make the ceremony.

I voted for Fri, BUT I would have voted Sunday if it were slightly later (like 2 or 3 pm).

I always prefer a night wedding! I dont mind Friday night weddings.

I'm having a Friday PM and so many people have said that it is great to kick off a weekend (and for me a holiday break) with a wedding partying all night and not having responsibilities the next day (church/work,, etc.)

I prefer Friday night weddings too.

I think Sunday is better for most people...Friday they may need to leave work early and that's inconvenient for some people.

JMO....I like fridays b/c work monday after a sunday wedding is ruff!

I voted for sunday afternoon because I think it is more convenient for most people.

We had ours Fri night...and wouldn't have changed anything...most everyone was there on time..and if not..really not that late...those who knew it was real important for me to be there for my ceremony ended up taking the day off or getting off a bit early...or just getting their butts there on time!! And like one of the girls said, it was a great way to kick off the weekend with out having to worry about work the next day..and partying when its dark out is always fun..ppl seem to party harder for some reason...Good luck!!! Also, pictures...you have all day to get ready and get great pics!!!

I voted Sunday because of OOT guests. If you have a lot of them, it's something to consider - because they can come out on Friday night or Saturday and leave right after the wedding and not miss any work time...

Friday night weddings you have to be very conscious of the time, because of traffic on Long Island.....

I chose Friday night because I know that on Sunday people really tend to leave early once the cake is out they are gone.

Sunday is nice because then people have an option of taking off of work, but I always prefer a Friday night wedding....it is a great way to kick off the weekend.
