friday vs. sunday wedding
Re: friday vs. sunday wedding
I love Friday wedding, just make sure your start time is late evening like 7 ot 7:30. Sunday is oka, but you have to an early start time; unless its a Sunday before a Holiday.
Re: friday vs. sunday wedding
I had a sunday wedding, end time was 11:30. People started to leave 11ish but our family 7 BP were with us till the end.

I think if you do a Sunday wedding, it has to be an afternoon wedding.

For a Friday, as long as you're ok with less people showing up to the ceremony then go for it because it allows people to enjoy their weekend...BUT if you can get a Sunday with no work/school the next day then that could work too. If I were a guest, I would rather go to a Friday wedding because I could enjoy myself and not have to worry or leave early because of work the next morning.
Re: friday vs. sunday wedding
All of my sisters got married on Fridays and we are too - I love the fact that people can party and then still have their whole weekend. Just make sure key people are able to take a half day or full day off if traveling to be there.
Re: friday vs. sunday wedding
We are having a Friday wedding. Ceremony at RH at 7:00pm. At first I was against it but now I'm excited and can't wait to party all night long!!!! My best friend was married on a Sunday afternoon and that was really nice all her close friends took off on Monday and we went to a bar afterwards to continue the party!! IMHO the people who are most important to you will be there no matter what day or time your wedding is!!!

I am having a sunday wedding. ceremony starts at 11:30am. the min. was less and it was wayyy cheaper. We are having an after party for anyone staying the night. I sent Save the Dates a year in advance and all the important people have planned to take off work on monday! We are also having a sat night welcome party at the hotel so we can party the night before :)

I'd rather a Friday; at least then people could stay late to enjoy & have all weekend to recover. Like a party to ring in the weekend
Re: friday vs. sunday wedding
if it was my wedding i would do friday. just because i know most of my guests party hard and party late. sunday afternoon would be nice but not for my situation.

I prefer Friday to Sunday..I feel like once people get there they are ready to party and rest Saturday...with Sunday people have work on Monday and I feel like it's more low key...JMO
Re: friday vs. sunday wedding
I am having a sunday evening wedding. My decision was also based on the fact that the following day is a holiday and many people dont have to work the next day. If my date wasnt a holiday weekend then i still would have gone with a sunday wedding but would have probably done a twilight instead of a mornign or evening.
