me and my FH WERE FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS!
i had always liked him but he said he didnt wana ruin the relationship. then he would do things to me hmmmm

so after a year of being friends w/benefits he finally asked me out.

What good was having guy friends if ya didnt get any benefits?

i had a few of 'em unofficially. it was more like 'you're hot, so that's a benefit, but you're a moron, and i'd never want to be your gf, so lets just be Friends'

and then there was one that we had the official FWB label. we're still friends... just no more benefits but in that situation, it seemed a little reversed... it started out w/ the 'benefits' but turned into an awesome friendship

Yes and no- my first college boyfriend and I broke up at the beginning of our second semester. Then we were FWB for pretty much the rest of college. I met someone at the beginning of senior year who I dated for a long time, and when I met him the FWB became just friends.

When I was 30 I had one with a 19 yr old. He was hot but then he started to talk and it ruined everything.

I had one that lasted 2 years, right before i met DH. We tried to date but that was not going anywhere, so i kept the benefits part.

It's hard to keep the emotions out of it, however there are just people you are attracted to that you KNOW you cannot be a couple with. Made it easier for me to keep the emotions out of it.

I also had an ex who i maintained benefits with for 2 years after we broke up..

What can i say, I needed benefits when i was not dating anyone.
