We really wanted to have our Chocolate Lab, Melo in the wedding as one of the ring bearers but he gets to excited around people and would run around licking everyone! We decided that our guest would not want dog spit as a new accessory.

When FH and I went to look at Atlantis in Riverhead as a possible venue, the guy we met with said that they tried their hardest to train the penguins to walk up the aisle in the ceremony space with the rings. But the penguins get distracted by earrings and purses and other things too easily to make it up the aisle!

To be totally honest, if Atlantis DID have trained penguins to do that, I would have probably wanted to have both my reception AND my ceremony there!

We both have cats, or 'catdren' as I like to call them. They are my babies and I wish I could have them at the wedding/in it somehow, but lets face it cats are not the most social, trainable animals!

I think I'm going to get ready at my parents house, and they will be watching them when we go on our honeymoon, so I may try to get my photographer to get some pictures of me with them before the wedding.

But I have also been thinking of doing some kind of display at the reception highlighting our family in some way and if I do, I'm planning to include pics of our furkids on it :)

im obsessed with my golden retriever grace. she is daughter and is totally going to be involved in the wedding. She came to our engagement photo shoot and the pictures with her were my favorites so shes probably making the save the date card. For our wedding i am getting married in church so she cant come but i think im having a friend from the dog park bring her after the church ceremony so we can get our first OFFICIAL family shot together
