FYI- David's Bridal Sucks!

I just had to share the horrible, disappointing experience that I had with David’s Bridal yesterday. My BM’s and I picked out the perfect for BM dress in October of last year. My girls range from a size 4 to a size 26 so to be able to find one dress that they all loved and felt gorgeous in was a huge accomplishment! Since my wedding is in October of this year, we figured that we didn’t need to rush and order the dress nor were we told that an order needed to be placed immediately. Needless to say that when we all went yesterday to try it on again and purchase, we were told that the dress has been discontinued! The unbelievable part is that when my MOH made the appt., she gave the style number… no mention of the dress being discontinued. They even called her to confirm the appt. and mentioned that we were trying on that dress, which they no longer carry! Of course, their excuse was “ we don’t know when a style is discontinued”, “we serve hundreds of customers daily, so we can’t check every single style number”… Blah blah blah.

We tried other dresses in a desperate attempt to find something else that we liked but no luck. We now have to start the search process all over which is so frustrating! DB is known for having affordable dresses in a range of colors and sizes but the customer service is horrible. So as an FYI, if you are planning to get any dress from their store, keep in mind that this might be a possibility if you are not planning to purchase right away.

Thanks! We are all doing a mad search for other options so I have no doubt we will find something else. I just don't want another Bride to go through this frustration. We have enough on our plates to deal with!

I got our BM dresses from Davids and we picked them out about a year ago and im getting married next month. I was so worried that with multiple chenging of seasons they would discontinue the dress. Cause the day we picked them I asked if they would have them if we came back like 6 months later, and they advised they were never given any warning on if a dress was going to be discontinued. So we purchased them that day and the girls have been holding them at home ever since. Im sorry you are going through this I know how hard it is to find something everyone loves, and is financially reasonable, but you could find a dress tomorrow somewhere else, then go this weekend and they may no longer have it. Some of these gowns are in and out especially around the changing of the seasons.

Heads up the same thing could happen with a bridal gown. Most stores don't know that's it discontinued until they try to order them.

David's Bridal has a lot of their discontinued dresses available for order through their outlet, which is linked on their website.

I didn't have the best bridesmaid dress shopping experience there this past weekend myself. The attendant pretty much put my FSILs in a fitting room and left. My FMIL and I had to keep running back and forth pulling different dress sizes. My FMIL finally hunted her down, and she said she'd be there and never showed up. It wasn't until the manager saw how annoyed we were that she paid us some attention.
