First of all .. it really ticks me off that no one in our government seems to think the pricing of gas has gotten way out of hand. Even if there is nothing that can be done about the pricing, I would still prefer that someone in the upper ranks of the government steps up and says this price gouging needs to be looked into. But, of course, with Oil King Bush in office, that's not going to happen.
Second .. what's the cheapest everyone can find for the gas they buy???
Right now, the cheapest I've seen is $2.03 for Regular .. at a gas station I'd be afraid to pull into .. which is why it's probably cheap. The 'cheap' gas station I do frequent is up to $2.09!! They've been raising their price a couple of pennies just about every day.
Now, I know .. a couple of pennies .. big deal, right?? WRONG!! Just about 2 weeks ago, I was paying about $1.87!!!

The place by me where I usually get my gas WAS the cheapest around. Now it's the most expensive $2.15. I hope it doesn't get any higher!!!

$2.15 for regular????? well, I guess my 'cheap' gas station isn't far behind .. at the rate they're going, they should be there in about 2-3 days!
I did notice yesterday, in the Franklin Square area, on Hempstead Turnpike, regular is up to $2.13.

for those who are bj's members..they have ghas in freeport and farmingdale and dh and i have been filling up there - its still $$$ but a few cents less per gallon than anywhere we can find!!!
we are going to go broke soon if this keeps up!

There's a 'cheap' statio by me for $1.93 for regular...the Mobil 9 I like an idiot go to only because it's on the 'right' side of the street when I'm traveling is up to $2.09 for regular...Think I may need to start taking the BUS!

I HATE paying for gas!! Its soo expensive...out here in RI, we are not at 2.00 yetm, but at about 1.93-1.95 and climbing EVERY DAY...and its not even SUMMER yet..I am so scared for that...good thing my car is good on gas!!

I heard its going up again before the summer and people start driving on vacation. The news said it can hit $3.00 a gallon!!!

I was in NJ yesterday and was so excited when I saw 1.79!!! Obvioulsy I filled up and its nice, I work in NYC so I dont use much gas during the week! (I fill up once every 2+ weeks) But I am starting a new job on LI and dreading having to use gas again and lucky me its all just as the gas prices are going sky high!

I can't remember right now what news program I was watching last week, but they explained that gas prices right now are still not the highest they have ever been when you factor in inflation. In the 80's we were paying much more for gas.
In addition, US gas prices are a bargain compared to some European countries that pay almost 3x as much as we do. Thats right, $5.00 gal.
And gas is still a bargain compared to milk.
