We have been expecting it for some time now. I just feel absolutely horrible for my dad - it's his mom - how is he going to be happy at wedding events? She's been sick for a while and this is the best thing for her and everyone - she is at peace - but my grandpa, aunt and dad are of course going to feel it the most and it makes me so upset that it has happened at what is supposed to be such a a happy time.

In between the phone calls with my mom, I spoke to my hair salon -- my hair stylist, who I've been seeing for over 10 years and know pretty well, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Please pray for my family, that we are able to see the good in this (she's no longer in pain) ....

Im so sorry about your loss! And even though it was sort of expected and good that she is no longer in pain, Im sure it is still just as hard to lose someone you love. But you know she will be able to watch over you now on your wedding day and will be able to be there in spirit. Sounds like she wasn't going to make it at all otherwise. Im sure your dad knows this. Everyone prolly needs the next couple of days to mourn and then will be fine for your wedding as they know she will want everyone to enjoy it and be there for you. She and your family are in my thoughts!!!

I'm so sorry your family is going through such a tough time now. Please remember that your wedding is still a happy time celebrating your life with your future husband and family.

My grandmother passed earlier this year and we expected it as well. We will be having a moment remeberence to honor anyone who is there in spirit. Maybe something like this would honor your grandmother and family in a tasteful and respectful way.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! I have been doing some things around my apt. since I think the wake is tomorrow, funeral thurs am ... and so I was very surprised to see all of you comment here. Thank you ....
