street size 6 or 8, ordered dress in 12. I was in between 10 or 12, but ultimately my bust size made me decide to get the 12.
It also depends on brand. My gown is size 12 jim hjelm, but I tried on my alvina valenta bm gowns in a 10 and it was swimming on me.

I got a 10 in Maggie, but I wear 5/6 in street clothes....(when I'm at my normal weight and not my happy couple weight I had gained over the first few years together). These gown sizes are all over the board. I agree with the people who said the sizes should be lower to make us feel better, but oh well...we're getting MARRIED, who cares...all brides are GORGEOUS!!!!!

not really sure why they do this - to make us feel worse while trying on gowns!!!!
im a 6 or 8 depends and my dress is 10 and it just fits its just a number though!!!!

I ordered a 10 in my gown and i usually wear a 2 or a 4.
